Well I have completed my first run through of Arkham City and I loved it! It was alot harder than Asylum and im not even done with %10 of the Riddles. I like how you cant use the detective mode to solve any of them since it allows you to see the city and how much work was put into it. I must say I hated how it ended though. Not a big fan of lore changes.
Unlock that Batman Beyond costume for me yet?

wait so you could finish with 0/48 for the ending?
Yeah, there are three choices for each date, and I'm assuming it's largely just from making the bad choice for everyone, but it may also have to do with making the good choice instead of great choices. I'm down to 5/48, so we'll see as I get closer.

I think I am going to finish Shadow of the Colossus today and start Dead Space on Halloween. Iwant to play through 1 again before I get to 2. I have killed 14 of the 16 colossi at this point. The 14th is so much fun to fight. It is like one long puzzle. That is the dog like one where you have to get him to knock over the pillars

Meanwhile, in Dark Souls...

I am currently working my way through the Tomb of Giants. I've died so many times so far, many times before I even found the lantern so that I could actually see something. I've done some exploring and finally noticed the location of the bonfire in the area. I didn't have a whole lot of time to play today, so that is where I stopped for tonight.

I do too. So I've decided to leave and come back later. I went back to Demon Ruins and I've just beat all of the bosses there.

I'm not enjoying Lost Isalith either. Was the end of this game made for pyromancers and sorcerers only? I'll use a bow occasionally, but that takes time to kill anything, even with some poison arrows.

If you're talking about the T-Rex things.....I killed a few with my bow, but that was it. If you get two attacking you at a time, they'll jump on each other and do huge damage to each other. I only managed to do this at the various towers you can enter in the middle of the lava. I pretty much just ended up running past them and hoping they didn't land on me when they did their jumps.

Yep. I killed them all. However, it would have been so much easier had I figured out how to get on top of that second building before I took out most all of them. I tried my best to get them to kill each other, but I killed all of the rest the old fashioned way. That area is clear now and I got a good bunch of souls for all of that work. I lost a few thousand souls too, when I first got to the area, but oh well. It is really hard to find a bloodstain on a sea of lava, even if you know where you were killed.

I started to advance to the next part of the area, but then my sister had a medical emergency and I ended up babysitting my nephew for a while tonight, so I didn't get to play more. I killed this octopus looking thing easily, but he spits something that I'm thinking is a curse. I've managed to avoid it though and it goes down in just four hits, so it's not a big deal.

My only complaint with this game so far is that I wish the other light armor sets were actually worth a damn. I've been wearing the gold hemmed set since I found it and nothing else even comes close. I'm tired of wearing it to be honest, but I can't see switching to any other armor set that is much worse in nearly every stat just for the sake of wearing something else. I'm not using any heavy armor and my total weight (with equiped weapons) has remained around only 18 lbs.

Yeah, it's hard to find anything in the lava. I've almost missed items as well.

No, it's not curse, but sucks almost as bad. It will instantly break your weapon....so I guess it's acid or something. Sounds like you're near the Bed of Chaos boss.....I broke a controller fighting him....granted I was playing on no sleep which = zero patience w/an irish temper, but yeah....beware. It's not even that the boss is difficult either it's just being able to do what you need to do to defeat it is a PITA.

Yeah, I wore that most of the game as well and hated every minute of it. I guess some people think the grim reaper is cool, but I'd much rather be wearing some sort of badass knight gear. Which is what I wear now....just beefed up the elite knight armor set which I'll be wearing until my Stam is high enough to efficiently wear the Golem set.

I'm worried that I might have missed talking to Rhea at the church. I didn't think that she'd leave the ToG before I defeated the boss there, but according to something I just read on GFs, that's not the case. I'd say there is a very good chance she'll be dead before I get to talk to her again. It's not a big loss, since I'm not using spells and such to begin with. Oh well.

Also, I didn't talk to P before he kicked me down into the pit. I did talk to him again, but I think I said that 'yes' we were ok. I haven't seen him in Firelink yet, but that could be because he is still down in ToG. I'm not going back to ToG yet though until I finish up with Izalith, so I'll have to wait to find out.

In both cases, Rhea and P, both were still in ToG when I was last there. Rhea, even after I killed her two hollow guards.

As for that octopus enemy, well damn am I glad I haven't been hit by that stuff. Thankfully, it's such an easy enemy to kill.

I can't wait until the patch so that I can actually buy enough twinkling t to upgrade some of my weapons and armor. I haven't upgraded anything yet that requires a special type of titanite yet. I suppose I should look into that as I am getting closer to the end of the game.

_____

As a side note, I don't understand all of the people I see online talking about how difficult this game is. The biggest example I can think of is all of the complaining I'm hearing about those two archers in Anor Lando. What is the big deal? They didn't kill me once. Matter of fact, I don't think I even had to use an flask to get past them; it was easy. All I did was ran up the path and then right over to the archer on the right. As soon as he pulled out his sword, I backed up and he fell to his death. The exact same thing happened to the other archer as well, except he went agro, pulled out his sword and did a running leap to his death. How were these guys any different than the painting guardians on the rafters and why were people having so much trouble, I just do not understand.

I'll complain about the ToG, because that place is literally a pain in the ass without a light other than that lantern. This is why I decided to leave that area and come back later, after I find this hat I've heard so much about. Still, the catacombs was super easy. Perhaps it was just because I did the Painted World first that I knew how to defeat the wheel skeletons.

If you kill the guy at firelink the guy from the Way of the White, she won't die she'll stay at the alter in the church....if you go to the church and see items at the alter, she's already been killed. (He kills her for some reason unless you kill him first)

What patch?

It's waaaaaaaay easier than Demon's Souls, no doubt about it. However I was one of those people who had trouble getting past that part. Maybe it depends on armor idk, but I suited up in stone armor and ran shield up, and pray I didn't get hit. If I did not only did it take a ton of health, but it would knock me down and I would get hit by second before I was allowed to move again....which would kill me. Neither one suicided for me either, I had to fight them.

You can get Cast Light sorcery, or a helmet that has the same effect...I use the helmet when I go there. ....think it's called Sunlit Maggot.

Maybe I didn't have trouble with the archers because I am fast. I ran right up to them, never got hit by a single arrow because I was always on the move. By the time I was close to them, they pull out a sword and then there's nothing to it. I was fighting the archer on the right, before I backed up and he fell to his doom. Once I saw him do that, I figured I'd try the same thing on the other one, just like I did the painting guardians and he lept to his demise as well.

As for the patch, it's been released in Japan, but no word on when we'll get it yet. Some notes:
