Accidentally started playing Knights of the Old Republic today. Finally got it downloaded and installed and all that craziness. Freaking Vista doesn't understand the difference between copy and cut, meaning I ended up with multiple copies of this 4 GB game floating around my HD. Anyway, wanted to make sure it worked and ended up playing for an hour. Ooops. This game is just that good. My only real complaint is the PC camera controls are for the birds. The graphics, turned up to the max, are much better though. And I finished Ch 11 in VC. Ho-ly God. I did NOT see that coming. That cutscene hit me like a ton of bricks. |

KOTOR was the ONLY game I enjoyed on my old Xbox. That game was great. |

Almost same here. I only liked it and Halo, so I eventually sold the Xbox. Saw this for $5 on D2D and picked it up for that nostalgia. Heck, I spend that on crappy CDs all the time, so why not on something I know I like? |

Damn, FF IV feels like it's gonna be a short game. I'm in the Underworld and getting ready to head to Golbez's place while he's crystal hunting. Characters are all in the 30-36 range. |

I got to the final dungeon in 13 hours in the PS version. I spent 30 hours doing most everything in this one. Sooo... yeah, pick a length. Also, Ch 15 was LOOOOOOOOOONG in Valkyria Chronicles. I thought 15-2 was never going to end. I think it took like an hour and half? |

Ys 1 was an incredibly short game!! It took me 4h30 to beat it, no wonder why that game is always bundled with Ys 2. |

Finished Valkyria Chronicles earlier today. The final skirmish never unlocked for me, which was strange. I did all the other skirmishes and reports though. I also maxed out my shocktrooper levels and finished the equipment paths I chose. I don't know what people were on when they said this story was run of the mill though because it was absolutely fantastic. It's definitely in my top 5 favourite stories in a game, mostly due to the fantastic characters. I got misty eyed a number of times throughout the game because so many moments were legitimately touching. My only two complaints: Spoiler: click to toggle It also got a little slow in the middle. It picks up big time after Ch 11 though. Still, an awesome, awesome experience. I don't see the point of VC2 on PSP though since this game really is a whole package. Also played some more Mario and Luigi 3. This game oozes charm. I think I'm 1/3 through. I definitely like the Mario sections more than the Bowser ones, but that might be because they aren't as frequent. Really, the Mario RPGs have done more for the characters of the Mushroom Kingdom than any other Mario titles. Even though Mario and Luigi have no dialogue, they still overflow with personality and it's absolutely great. Edited by nate, Jan 4 2010, 08:49 PM.

How is Mario and Luigi 3 comparing to the first one? |

So I finished Ys II, another incredibly short RPG, only about 5h30 long with barely any story at all. I guess that sort of what you would expect from an action RPG from the 80's. It was fun though, so I'm going to go ahead and start wanderers from Ys... see if I can do a Ys marathon all the way up to 6. |

Comparable. Probably better, honestly, but SSS was my first Mario RPG, so it blew my mind at the time. This one's a lot of fun and does a lot to try and change things up. Regardless, it still feels exactly like Mario and Luigi. I don't like that Bowser plays pretty much exactly like the brothers though. I was really hoping they'd do him differently. Even if it sucked it still has Fawful. And Fawful is Top 5 villains ever. :D |

lol another incredibly short RPG, this one is about 7 hours long, well it should be shorter but I backtracked a few times to heal. Well it's pretty fun but I guess I should continue with Ys V for now then since I don't have Ys IV and it's going to take me a few weeks to get it... oh well. |
