You don't get the Fog Ring by killing Shiva though. You can only get the Fog Ring by reaching rank 2 with the Forest Covenant (killing 3 intruders) or in trade from snuggly (skull lantern from Tomb of the Giants). You can get a ring off the Ninja whose always with Shiva though, and that ring changes your jump animation to a back flip...people call it the ninja ring.
Yeah, that's what I was talking about, killing Shiva to get the ninja ring. I would like to get the fog ring from the cat, but I worry about the forest covenant glitching on me before I am able to get it screwing me out of both the fog ring, which could easily be gotten later from Snuggly, and more importantly the ninja ring, which would require I pay a huge fine in order to get another chance at obtaining this playthrough. I want that ninja ring.
Oh Ok, yeah the invisible dude who's with Shiva has the ninja ring. Shiva drops the eastern armor set and the Murakamo (sp?).

I wouldn't worry about that glitch too much. I was in the Forest Covenant for quite awhile and it never glitched me out. I also wouldn't worry too much about absolving sins. I paid 200k once to absolve and probably never will again. I don't play in human form often enough to worry about getting invaded. There's really no reason to play in human form in this game, health stays the same regardless. Unless you like summoning people to help you, but if your abstaining from Pyromancy to make it more challenging I doubt you're into recruiting helpers to make it easier.

Back to the forest covenant. You can stand to gain a TON of souls by being summoned. My friend was playing and he got summoned and he had to fight this extremely high level....only the high level wasn't interested in fighting so he pretty much let my friend kill him...his reward? 900k souls.....and this happened 3 times with the same guy. In at least one of the fights the guy even started dropping items and equipment everywhere...it was crazy.

So tonight I killed Hydra #2, which was a much easier fight compared to when I tried earlier. I was able to fully block his attacks and the Iaito was long enough to reach each neck to deal some damage. I didn't even cut off all of the heads before it was dead.

I then went and messed around a bit in the Hollow, trying to kill all of the lizards. I managed to get all of them except one, I think. There is one of them that I just could not get to in time, so I eventually gave up. I'm not too worried about missing one though, so it's no big deal.

Finally, I spent the rest of my playing time this afternoon in the Forest being summoned by the ring to fight some PvP. I suck. I fought about six times in a half hour and lost each time. One time I had some help, so I was able to deal some heavy damage while he was distracted by the other guy, but then I got careless and he was able to two-shot me. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

hoshigami remix has such an unbalanced gameplay, the level up/hit rate are messed up. I leveled up so much by only hitting my allies that I'm about 30 levels higher than the enemies, but then I have to, cuz you lose your chars when they die and the AI always try to take out at least 1 char out no matter the cost... they just rush your weaker chars and hit them until they die. The level spamming gets kind of addicting other than that the game is kind of boring. I'm also not a big fan of the level design, they make the map so freaking huge, it takes forever just to go from one side to the other and they always put the enemies at such an advantage position, like on top of a fort or a cliff for exemple.

After you kill the one in the forest, follow the shore all the way around to the left. You'll find another golem that you should kill.

I never did try to get all those lizards. Probably should have. But at this point, I only have 2 more weapons to upgrade for the trophy, so I'm not sure that I'll bother with it.

Yeah took me awhile to get the 3 kills. High levels go there just to pvp.

You mean there is a golem in the woods past the hydra?

Also, I found a trick to killing the lizards yesterday on YT that involves just going to near where they are and reloading the game. That sounds a whole lot easier than having to run back to the bonfire between each attempt.

As for PvP in the forest, some of these dudes are insane, with massive health, poison claws and lightning 3-bolt crossbows.

No. Like....run to the left by the waterfall...but instead of climbing that really tall ladder, stay in the water and keep following the shore....it goes around into a little alcove with a golem just standing there. He'll attack when you get close enough. Kill him.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Hmm, I'll have to try that.

Yeah. And it sucks you can't use your estus too. If you could I imagine it'd be a lot easier.

Dear Colossus #11

I hate you. You are incredibly annoying. I feel bad about killing every single colossus before you. I have no guilt in killing you because of how annoying you are, headbutting me again before I get the chance to get up.

Where dreams come to come true.
Giving a bit of a random test run through AKB 1/48 to get an idea of how it plays before I aim seriously for certain paths, and down to 7 girls in this test run; my "main" girl right now has shown up and crashed two of my other dates. I'm really liking some of the dynamics in regards to a girl you previously dating showing up on another date basically "WTF?"ing you, also in turning a girl down and how that affects your relationship with their real life friends.

Some surrealistic scenarios going on, though. With the girl in my avatar, if one of her friends shows up, you're basically getting hassled by someone (who may be my mother?) the entire time. It's very odd to deal with this extra person AND deal with her friend in the midst of some really WTF fanservice between the two girls.

Hoping I can stumble into a 1/48 ending on this test run and not end up with a bad ending, but we'll see.

So I defeated S&O on my 7th attempt. The most annoying part was having to run from the bonfire all the way back to the fog door every attempt. I defeated them in the correct order too, leaving O for last, so that I can get his cool armor. Also, I did nothing special either. I was wearing the usual light armor set and nothing but my Iaito +10 and Hollow Shield +10 to win.

I found that after S goes down, the trick is to stay under O's feet at all times, making sure to watch out for his spear being charged with lightning and avoiding that attack at all costs. When he does that butt slam attack I had to run away if I could, only to then run right back to stand between his legs. Still, my heart was beating so fast and my hands were drenched in sweat because of how nervous I was. :lol2:

Well I have completed my first run through of Arkham City and I loved it! It was alot harder than Asylum and im not even done with %10 of the Riddles. I like how you cant use the detective mode to solve any of them since it allows you to see the city and how much work was put into it. I must say I hated how it ended though. Not a big fan of lore changes.

I never upgraded any shields...perhaps I should have....

Yeah, on my second playthrough that was pretty much my strategy for O, except with a +15 Uchi.
