I started SOTC on the PS3 and felled the first colossus. It has NO framerate or technical issues at all
Have you played the game before?

If so, some people have mentioned that the enemies seem harder to kill, like they shake more; is this true?

If not, have fun playing one of the best games ever!
I reviewed the game, which is why I will only be reviewing ICO and not SOTC for my website.

I do not remember the first colossus shaking as much as he did when I beat him

i saw the two groups of pirates I need for disgea 3 tonight, in about the same half hour period. I was unlucky on both. somewhere between the last time I played and now my army of geomancers disappeared and was only able to take out three or for from each group. meh I think I'm going to make five or six the next time I play before I go hunting again. Also one of the gents pirates wiped out all the sp on one of my characters before I had to flee the floor. I don't remember any of them being able to do that

I see that you're playing El Shaddai now. I'm curious to know what you think. I really liked the game.

As for me, I am still playing Dark Souls of course. Right now, I am inside the Painted World and getting my butt kicked by these skeleton wheel enemies. Thankfully, I've opened the door for the shortcut, so I don't have to run through that huge pile of enemies to advance anymore.

YEah they kicked my butt too. I ended up putting on my best/heaviest armor and my steel defense ring so I could take more damage. Once I was in that tank form I was able to stay alive long enough to kill them.

Before you leave that place be sure to get the ember, and two pyromancies if you're going for the trophies. You can always go back there of course, but, if you're like me, you probably won't want to once you leave.

Damn, Dark Souls sounds like a game only masochists could possibly enjoy. You guys are far more tolerant than I am.

It is a game about learning from your mistakes and overcoming challenges. I might fail a level 100 times, but eventually, everything I've learned will come together and I'll make it through. Then it's on to the next area to do it all over again. :lol2:

Actually, I really like it, but I'm kind of confused... twice in a row I get hit a few times by those "fallen angels" and it puts me at a totally different place. Am I doing something wrong?
Like the first time it even broke my weapons, I figured that it's tutorial but the second time I wasn't even dead. I just checked some let's play videos and the people seems to be doing even worse than me.

Na. You're supposed to lose. It's hard to know that until you die though and later in the game, you'll be expected to win. Either way, when you fail in any situation, be sure to start mashing the buttons right away!

I played a lot of uncharted 2 yesterday, I think I blew through 75% of the game in one sitting, such an amazing game :)
It gets a bit frustrating when those zombie like "guardians" decides to show up, but it's not bad once I figured out how to kill them.

Still playing Dark Souls...

1. Finished the Painted World.
Spoiler: click to toggle
I am upset that I didn't get the dagger, since I am a thief character and that is the #1 weapon that I wanted. If there is one thing I love even more than riposting it is slashing enemies until they bleed for high damage. My Iaito +10 is a beast, but that dagger would have been so much better.

2. I've run through most of Anor Londo, I think. I am currently at the big fog gate,
Spoiler: click to toggle
, but haven't gone through it yet.

That is where I stopped for the night.

3. I used Q's soul to create the Fury Sword, so now I don't need another fire weapon. Both my Iaito and Bandit Dagger are currently at +10. I am thinking of just taking them to +15 later. I honestly feel that lightning weapons, such as the spear, make the game way too easy. Although, my Iaito is pretty dominating now also, so I guess it's unavoidable until I face even harder enemies.

4. I am currently around level 60, with my dex stat at 30. I don't know if I am going to invest too much more in that stat as it might make more sense to put additional levels into my stamina or hp at this point.

I just got the dagger yesterday. Didn't even realize she had a tail on my first play through.

You're at one of the trickiest boss fights in the game. There's two of them. Without going into detail, whoever you kill last, you get their soul and can buy their armor. So keep that in mind. I thought it was the other way around on my first playthrough and didn't end up getting the armor I wanted. If you use Pyromancy, it's pretty easy, but it can be tough doing it with only melee.

I never used the spear, but I eventually made a Lightning Washing Pole and soon I'll have a maxed Fire Washing Pole. Plan to try duel wielding them. I'm mainly using a +15 Uchigatana. It's pretty much the Iato, just slightly stronger and with a different move set. I may get it to +15 as well and duel wield them.

My Dex is at 52 now I think. Dex, Str, and End are my main stats, I don't put much in anything else. Probably won't bother with Vit anymore until my Dex and Str is maxed.

That's what I've been reading. I've decided to do a few more side quest things before this boss fight.

Tonight, I fought the Hydra (#1) and won easily. This battle was far easier than I remember my attempt to kill the other Hydra (#2). Tomorrow, I plan to go back and kill that Hydra as well. Those crystal guards nearby were a whole lot easier to kill as well. I fought them a long time ago and it took me more than five minutes or so to finish off just one of them. Now it is just a few hits with my Iaito and they die before they can attack again, easy!

I also opened the door to the Darkroot Garden. I fought S. and it was a pretty easy battle to be honest. I cleared out the forest and found all of the treasure that I could before joining the forest covenant. I'd read about glitches and such with this area, so I made sure to reload my game right after joining and I've had no problems. I left the area and went to Blighttown so that I could buy those weapons from Shiva, which is the only reason I joined the covenant in the first place. I would kill him for the ring, but not before I get to see what being summoned to kill intruders is all about. It sounds like fun. Besides, I don't want to break the covenant early because it would cost me about 125K souls to pay off my sins, which is just bonkers! Then again, since I can get the fog ring elsewhere, maybe I'm better off killing Shiva now before something has the chance to go wrong and I end up having to farm for all of those souls to pay off that bounty.

I am thinking that whenever I decide to play the game again, after I finish this run of course, I intend to play as a tank character. My dex character is weak and fast, but I want to see what it's like playing as a slow tank character dealing massive damage with super heavy weapons. Also, I have not been using pyromancy or sorcery at all this run, because I feel it would make the game way too easy. I've been fighting everything toe to toe, or toe to heal actually, haha.

You don't get the Fog Ring by killing Shiva though. You can only get the Fog Ring by reaching rank 2 with the Forest Covenant (killing 3 intruders) or in trade from snuggly (skull lantern from Tomb of the Giants). You can get a ring off the Ninja whose always with Shiva though, and that ring changes your jump animation to a back flip...people call it the ninja ring.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about, killing Shiva to get the ninja ring. I would like to get the fog ring from the cat, but I worry about the forest covenant glitching on me before I am able to get it screwing me out of both the fog ring, which could easily be gotten later from Snuggly, and more importantly the ninja ring, which would require I pay a huge fine in order to get another chance at obtaining this playthrough. I want that ninja ring.
