I'm gonna throw this one out there: Would anyone really be that sad if we did away with the health bar in Phoenix Wright games? Just handle court cases like investigations where you just keep going til you get it right. I get tired of huge penalties cause I showed the ticket stub to indicate a gambling problem instead of the calendar. Or situations where I have no freaking clue and have to run upstairs to the PC because guessing will sink me and I don't want to have to repeat everything over and over til I figure it out. |

I am really freaking over this game. It's gone on WAY too long and I really freaking hate these Dahlia sections. At this point I'm just bored and annoyed with the experience. This series would be so much better as an anime than a game. |

I started playing Zelda OoT on the 3DS tonight. I haven't played this game in nearly a decade, so it is bringing back so many memories. The 3D is done really well in this game and it isn't a problem for me to play with it on, no headaches or anything like that. The only thing I don't like so much about playing this game on the 3DS is that the constant L-targeting cramps my hand due to my hands being so huge. I did manage to find a comfortable way to hold the 3DS though after about an hour that seems to help. |

I finished leveling up my weapons in Secret of Evermore. They are all at level 3. I am going to hold off on continuing the game until tomorrow, however. I think I am nearing the end of it. I mean I just resolved the conflict in the third world, and there are only 4. I have to be near the end, right? I am considering reviewing this one for my website. |

I wish they would have updated the music along with the graphics. It disappoints me that they straight ported that aspect of the game when the graphics got such an overhaul. You do not necessarily need to change any of the songs because the sound track is classic, but they should have, at the very least, orchastrated it. It would have only made it more dynamic and powerful. How is that a bad thing? |

Yeah, Nintendo is lazy like that. The Starfox 64 remake coming to the 3DS will not have online play, which is really very lame. I'm buying the game anyway because I want to play one of my favrorite N64 games in 3D, but I'm hoping that Nintendo gets their act together soon as they're finally starting to piss me off. If I were running Nintendo they would be taking a lot more risks than they do currently. Reggie stinks! |

Nintendo does a lot of things that piss me off. and they have been doing so for years. Where the hell is the voice work in Zelda, for example? It is just now getting orchastrated music with Skyward Sword. It is not getting voice work. Still. Get with the frickin times. That shit started to become standard some 13 or so years ago |

I have no problem with no voice in Zelda, but come on, are those "hey" "ahh" "hehe" "teehee" necessary? |

Why would you hate voice work when it is well done? It can add a lot to a character. |

Why would I read a book when there's a well done movie? |

That argument does not really work. Good voice work can add depth to a character by giving him or her a voice to recognize them by. For example, part of what makes the characters in Uncharted stand out is the very strong voice work for them. Their voices convey feelings in the voice far better than mere text would. The sarcastic tone that Nolan North gives Nathan Drake makes the character that much more likable. The argument of a book vs a movie, on the other hand, has a lot of factors that go into why you would want to do one over the other. With the book, for example, you are not limited to a 2 to 3 hour time restraint like you are with movies. If you want to make your book 1000 pages long, you can. Taking this one step further, the time restraint of movies often mean that parts of the book are left out or some scenes are altered completely. The difference is not always a bad thing. The meeting scene in the middle of Lord of the Rings, for example, was a great addition to the movie, and it is one of the more memorable versions of the movie. Truthfully, thereare plenty of reasons to both read the book and watch the movie that is based on the book. It can be fun to see a well done interpretation of a book you really like. There really is no solid argument against voice work, as long as the voice work does not suck. When it is as bad as the original Resident Evil, as an example, it is like "Why bother?" Then again, the voice work in that game is funny, as is the dialog. I guess what can you expect from a script THAT bad? |

Dude, you are so closed minded it's kind of sad. Did it ever occur to you that reading gives depth of character that opens many avenues of interpretation that voice acting does not? Or that people like to focus on the text and not a movie-lite? Or 10,000 other reasons? Or does that just not matter because they're not your opinion? |

Attempting to get everyone calm and back on topic... So, I was playing some more Zelda today and got a huge cramp in my right thumb. I still haven't found the best way to hold the 3DS apparently, a problem I never had with the original DS. I honestly have no idea what the difference could be though to give me so much problem. Also, I'm not loving the slider stick on the 3DS because it is too shallow and my thumb tip sometimes starts to slide off. Had they simply put those four tiny grip dots on top of the stick, like those on an X360 controller, it would have made a world of difference. Oh well. |
