And Rivers actually sought the photographer because he really wanted to use that photo. Ick. |

WOAH! New Paramore out today. How on earth did I let that one slip by me? Now my "to buy" list is getting steadily longer, which is a complete 180 from earlier this year: Paramore- brand new eyes Jay-Z- The Blueprint 3 Kid Cudi- Man on the Moon: End of the Day Brand New- Daisy Edited by Weidleface, Sep 29 2009, 07:11 AM.

Damn, new AFI and Breaking Benjamin this week too. AFI takes precedence, of course. |

New AFI isn't too bad. It's the next logical step from Decemberunderground, which basically means more Decemberunderground. First half is a lot better than the second half, which is kind of dull. I was a little worried when the second track sounded more like a deep album cut than the second track, so I guess I was right, but it's pretty solid and very catchy. Hate the cover though. |

@GLS: I found a song of his from his mixtape that is just as good as any song off his album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grPfVlj7Go4 @Weidle: The album is good. I'd also recommend it. There are a few songs on the album that I couldn't take off repeat, but there are also a few songs that I probably only listened to three times. @Weezer album cover:  Edited by boost, Sep 29 2009, 11:26 PM.

Owl City? Yeah, don't bother unless you need a new autotune indie electronica pop album. I guess if you think The Postal Service was one of the three greatest things to ever happen to music, you may enjoy it, but if not, it's cute, but it doesn't seem to have any real substance beyond the autotune indie electronica pop angle. |

I wish Weezer would go back to their roots already and quit making music for people who don't listen to good music. |

I don't think they have that in them anymore. Hoping for another Blue Album is a lost cause.... |

Yeah, there's no sense, because Rivers isn't the same and the band isn't the same, and haven't been in almost ten years. We'll never get another blue album, much less another Pinkerton with all this "who cares about being serious!?!?!?!?!" stuff they're doing. I would actually honestly consider not getting this album (which is a HUGE blaspheme move for me regarding Weezer), but I do think "If You're Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)" is the best song they've had since the radio version of "Keep Fishin'" or "Photograph." I'm on the hook for at least one more album because of that song. I hope the album mirrors that song more than the red album, which I somehow doubt. |

So the new Paramore is a winner winner, chicken dinner. It doesn't have the same type of energy as their first 2 albums and it's a tad more serious, but it works out well for them. New Jay-Z is definitely hot. Best album he's released in a very, very long time. Verdict's still out on Cudi. |

Cudi is ok. Nothing more, nothing less. There are a few standout tracks, "Enter Galactic (Love Connection I)" being the best of the lot IMO. I can definitely see where this would be a grower, so I'll give it a couple more chances before slapping a final judgment down. The production is definitely top notch, but I'm just not sure if I'm sold on Cudi as a rapper like the rest of the world is. |

Brokencyde are the death of music. Nothing like listening to a bunch of dumb white kids trying to be Lil Jon. Good job, flash in the pan. |
