You managed to overcome the ungodly cover art, then? :P

It certainly helped that the disc itself was about $8. But I still hate that cover. Haha.

I picked up the Belle and Sebastian BBC Sessions yesterday. It is mostly old songs, a bit of a greatest hits perhaps, but there are a few unreleased tracks at the end of the disk. I also picked up the new Camera Obscura album this morning and I like what I've heard so far. It is pretty much more of the same, so if you've liked past CO albums, you might like this one too.

Picked up The Lonely Island's Incredibad yesterday. So far, every track on this album is nothing short of hilarious. You've got the big name ones like "I'm On A Boat," "Jizz In My Pants," and "Dick in a Box" but so many other songs stand out right up there with those guys. "Sax Man" is turning out to be another personal favorite for me as well.

Won't lie, wasn't sure what to expect with mewithoutYou's new record, but good lord, this thing is amazing. I think. It's really different, but it's got so many different types of influences that it feels absolutely breathtaking. Campfire, post hardcore, Irish folk, medieval, American folk, showtunes, lo-fi, gospel, rock, psychodelia, soundtrack, it's just wow. Plus, these melodies they've got here are lethal.

Can only imagine how this album is going to feel after a lot of listens if this is this good in the first listen. These lyrics are awesome too. This is turning into 2006 jr. Where is Brand New and Tom Waits to up the ante again!?

RELAPSE!!!!!!

Well, I haven't had a chance to listen to much of it so far, but I like what I've heard. I've avoided listening to the album on MySpace because I want to have my special moments with the CD itself ;). Granted, "Insane" is a little over the top, but I can look past that. "3am" is a decent track, but from what I've heard so far, I'm liking either "My Mom" or "Bagpipes From Baghdad" (which is surprosingly NOT a war song) the best. I really wish that more of the material was serious, but I'm optimistic thinking that I haven't hit it yet.

Here's a couple of my favorite songs off the new Eminem album- take a listen for yourselves.

"Beautiful"

"Deja Vu"

"Old Time's Sake (feat. Dr. Dre)"

The entire album is on his myspace, since I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who bought the thing here.

New Mars Volta on the 23rd? Awesome. I've enjoyed everything they've put out so far.

New Mos is awesome. Thank god! "Casa Bay" has one hell of a beat. Pretty awesome album. Only missing a really really legendary track ("Life in Marvelous Times" falls just short), but it's still really good. I like it a LOT.

The new Mars Volta CD is pretty good. I can't say I like the last two tracks, though. They sounded pretty boring.
