Scott Stapley and Cody Augustine each face one first-degree felony count of attempted murder with injury for the alleged attack on 17-year-old Justin Ennis. Their bail has been set at $500,000 each. The fight - apparently over a girl - happened Tuesday about 4:30 a.m. in Kearns near 4500 West and 5800 South. It left Ennis with life-threatening injuries, including six cuts. The teen suffered a deep, nearly 8-inch laceration to his neck, which required more than 300 stitches and staples. But he also received a 10--inch laceration to his left pectoral muscle and somewhat smaller cuts on his shoulder, his left side and his right hand. The attack also perforated the teen's bowel, and doctors had to remove two inches of the teen's colon. Charges allege Augustine and Stapley jumped out of a brown Nissan 200 SX with sharp weapons, and when Ennis tried to run, Stapley slashed his shoulder with the 30-inch-long, four-bladed warrior ax. Ennis ran toward the back of his house as Augustine allegedly stabbed him repeatedly all over his body. When the teen screamed for help, the alleged attackers fled. Upon arrival, the investigating deputy reported seeing blood all over Advertisement the entry way to the home, down the driveway, on the sidewalk and on the street. He also found a broken necklace that led to the two arrests. A pendant at the scene displayed a "hatchet man" - a symbol used by "Juggalos," or followers of the painted-face rap group Insane Clown Posse. Ennis said it was not his necklace, and the deputy later saw a Nissan 200 SX drive by that had an identical "hatchet man" Juggalo sticker in the window. The deputy stopped the Nissan and found Stapley inside with dried blood spots on his face, according to court documents. Stapley later turned over the ax, which also had blood on it, according to police. A detective asked Stapley if he thought hitting someone with the ax could kill a person, and according to charging documents, the 21-year-old replied that he thought it might. The ax apparently was not difficult to obtain - a basic Internet search showed they are available for purchase on eBay for as little as $25. A Sheriff's Office representative has said the ax easily could have decapitated the victim. During the traffic stop, the investigating deputy also found Augustine's wallet, which led to his arrest. Augustine allegedly said he was upset with the 17-year-old victim due to an incident involving a girl. A probable-cause statement filed with Salt Lake County jail said Augustine was jealous over text messaging between Ennis and a girlfriend. Augustine also believed he had contracted a sexually-transmitted disease from that girl, which he believed she had gotten from Ennis, according to the jail document. So what do you guys think? |

Thats really extreme. The kid should have just been done with the girl. Plus why is he going after that guy if the girl was cheating on him? He should have bitched out the girl. Either way the kid was stupid and deserves jail. |

The kid that was killed by the greyhound killer WAS a juggalo. The people in this article, arent Juggalos. they are Juglos. I was watching this one news article video a couple weeks ago, These two Juglos, tagged shit up and spelt it like that, and they legally had there names changed to David Sadistic Juggalo and Lance Blaze Juggalo. Idk.. they are stupid. Being a juggalo is not about going around and killing people and chasing people with battle axe and tagging shit up. I hardly listen to ICP anymore either. I listen to more underground things. I listen to twiztid and boondox alot tho. I have a very wide range of musical interests, and I like it that way. I dont like that people think I listen to JUST psychopathic because I'm a juggalo. |

all of this is bullshit! those little bastards that almost killed that kid, they sohuld get a long time in jail for that!! close to the same shit is going around in Reno, a friend and i went to the mall, and both of us had a hat made, mine said minnymo on the back, and juggalo family on it, with a hatchet man on the front. well it turns out that now, you cant wear anything hatchet man, or juggalo related in that mall anymore! and the guy that made the hats, he told me that he lost alot of money because he cant make hatchet man hats anymore. in the Medow Wood Mall in Reno Nevada, we are now considered a "GANG." and if you are caught wearing anything that is hatchet man, or juggalo related, you either have to turn your shirt inside out, or leave the mall!!!!! All because of some stupid ass people that make the rest of us look bad!! |
