It's here (along with other info I haven't yet read)! LINK EDITS: * The cover is the same symbol that was used on Morrowind's game cover, but this one is with more detail and is a shiny silver cover. * The back cover is a message written in the language of the dragons (I believe), and when decoded it gives hints on the game's story. * The Gameinformer story will have 20 screen shots and 14 pages that detail the game, the engine, the changes, the setting, etc, etc... Guys, I'm really excited for this game. Edited by redsrock, Jan 6 2011, 12:17:23 PM.

According to IGN, the Empire has fallen to the elves. It doesn't say which ones, though, and it also fails to capitalize Empire. How rude... |

I'd guess the Altmer. If I remember correctly, it said somewhere else that the Bosmer retreated into Valenwood or something. However, even if I'm thinking of something else entirely, they still couldn't do it as they're fucking Bosmer. They couldn't conquer shit. The Dunmer could do it, but they're probably too busy worrying about that whole "utter destruction of Vvardenfell" thing to consider continental conquest as a pertinent goal. As for the capitalization, it could just be a simple error, or, depending upon the specifics of the grammar involved, it could actually be correct. |

It was, and I quote, "The empire has fallen to the elves," so it should be capitalized since it is THE Empire. Not a big issue, but just something I noticed. |

Money's on the Aldmer. Like I said before, my inner conspiracy theorist says that Ocato and Cameron are both Aldmer who collaborated together to orchestrate the Oblivion Crisis in order to crumble the Empire in order to take back their ancestral homeland from those damned Imperials. |

You do realize there aren't any Aldmer, right? They were (allegedly!) the first inhabitants of Nirn and eventually formed the present day Mer such as the Dunmer, Altmer, etc, etc...

Shoot, I meant Ayleid. It's been so long since I've cared about this stuff that I barely remember what my original conspiracy theory even was. It made since back then... |

Umm... the Ayleid are all dead or in hiding... They wouldn't have enough forces to take the Empire, even with Titus Mede being the pathetic little bitch he is. |

Well, I think it's safe to say that if they are hiding as well as they are, there really can't be all that many of them. A giant empire-conquering army would be quite easy for even a blind person to find. |

But it all makes perfect since. Cameron calling in Dagon to throw the Empire into a state of chaos allowing Ocato to work from the inside to dismantle it. In the aftermath, Ocato is left in a position of power with a crumbling empire pretty much in his hands which he can slowly hand over to the Ayleids. I really wish I remembered the conspiracy in its entirety because it was a damn good one. |

Yeah, and a lot of things could make good conspiracies. Just because it could work doesn't mean it's real. |

Never did I say it was real. I have used the phrase conspiracy theory like six times now. That's even the least credible version of a theory. I just think its possible and that it would be cool if it was true, and since I find it interesting, it is what I'm gonna chose to believe since we are all just throwing out guesses right now. |

"Conspiracy theory" does not mean "untrue," despite however many of them turn out that way. There are some actual conspiracies out there, regardless of how rare they are. Plus, the people who purport these "theories" (they should really be called "hypotheses") claim them to be true, so you can understand my misinterpretation. |

Actually, it's important to keep in mind that the height of Bosmer and Altmer society was when they were united under the Aldmeri Dominion. Even after Tiber Septim had united the rest of Tamriel under his empire, he was still unable to defeat the Aldmeri Dominion with his troops, and this was the purpose for which Septim obtained the Numidium to begin with. As a note to Bosmer weakness. : P As for the actual reference when they say elves, I think it most likely the Altmer as well, mostly because I think Valenwood would be more likely to wage war against Elsweyr than the Empire, in any time of chaos. Oh, and even worse for the Dunmer was the whole thing of Argonians and Hist invading Morrowind too. : P |

Can't be the Dunmer, anyway. As Quirk said, they're fighting the Hist, Vvardenfell's destroyed, the Tribunal is pretty much gone, and the Houses are at each other's throats. Not an optimal situation for conquering a continent. |

But they'd probably do a much better job at heading an empire than the Cyrodils themselves. At least considering how they were doing before the Oblivion crisis. |

I just finished reading the article. This game looks a-fucking-mazing! Although it turns out they aren't actual dragons as far as being from Akavir goes. They're the servants of Alduin, the Nordic world-destroyer god and aspect of Akatosh. There's so much new shit in this game. Spoiler: click to toggle I cannot wait for this. |

Nope. Just the return of Alduin. Dunno, but it says you can. I imagine the casting system is somewhat different. |
