I just reinstalled Morrowind GOTY to my laptop. While it runs okay, but it's not uber-smooth by any means. Are there any mods that make the game run smoother? Like... lag and stuff. That's the biggest problem. Or, are there any ways to run the game smoother in general? |

I remember there being a program you could run that increases Morrowind's framerate, I believe it's called Morrowind FPS Optimizer. I'm not exactly sure though. |

You can also use MGE. It doesn't have as many FPS related options as MFPSO, but it also has the graphics features, which then again, you probably wouldn't be using on a laptop, anyway. |

Yes, the optimizer will help you. Make sure to download 1.96(think what it is), and not 2.0. |

2.0 worked just fine with me. They have this feature that hides small objects like leaves and such until you get close. While it does look pretty bleak, it made my game virtually lag-free. Combined with the adjustable view distance (with mouse wheel, omg) it ran smooth as a baby's butt. |

2.0 has some issues. Like it makes the map gray, and its more unstable. At least from what I've been hearing. Oh, also get the morrowind code patch. |

Morrowind .exe optimizer by Timeslip can held out as well. Also, Google Low-Fat Morrowind. ;D |
