WIP - Better Market District Mod; By: Apokolypze

The "Better Market District" Is a Small Worldbuilding mod That I'm Working on To keep my CS Skills Warm While I wait to get Undertownz Recovered from my Old Hard drive, onto my new one.

"Better Market District", or as i call it, "the BMD", Aims to Make the Imperial City Market District Look More like a Standard "Market", And Less like Two Plazas with a bunch of Crates/Barrels and Some Stores

I've Currently Added:
  • Fireplace with Cooking Pot
  • A Wagon Propped against one of the Crates
  • some Wooden Beams crossing Gaps Between Buildings (This Aspect May be abandoned, as the "Thieves Highway" Mod Does the Job Much better )

I actually was really looking forward to a mod back in the day simply called the Market District, it was much like yours, but it fell apart. Yours sounds really cool, so don't give up!

By the way, maybe you should title the post WIP?

Just make sure it doesn't conflict with any other popular mods.

I like this idea. I was always disappointed by the Market District. If I had my way, all but a few of the buildings would be taken out and replaced with tents and other impermanent structures.

Yeah, Thats Why i was thinking of Removing the Boards [Conflict with Thieves Highway mod, Which seems Very Popular]

I have officially decided to Remove the wooden planks, due to conflict with "thieves highway". I have also Implemented Ninja's Tents idea, by removing the two courtyard terraces, and replacing them with a more conventional "Market" (Tents, Stalls, and Yelling Merchants -Advice on how to do the yelling merchants???? :$ -)

Screenshots are Coming later today, i promise you.

Another Update! : More Tents springing up, the Cellar is recieving better lighting, and im starting to improve the overall Market district Lighting Scheme.

Ive also added a Landmark [With Travel marker, albeit a pointless one] - The Beggars Hearth - A Small hearth with cooking pot, near the intersection.

This mod is making good progress, as far as i am concerned, and i should have a playable beta up for this side Soon =D

Nice, looks promising. The only thing is that there is another, if not more than one, Market district overhauls. Looks good though.

Will you be adding any new shops or changing any of the current ones? The Market District, in my opinion, should have just about anything you could need in Cyrodiil. Its the Imperial City afterall :)

Yes, i know there are multiple market district overhauls, but i am trying to make this one conflict as little as possible [Although it IS a large Visual Overhaul, so any exterior market district overhauls are guaranteed to conflict, unless they are only texture ones]

I'm making small aesthetic changes to the existing shops, and adding SEVERAL new ones [Including a wine/beer store] Most of what this mod does though, is Revamp the exterior Market district to look like a market, not a housing district turned shops.

Okay, new Update. I have [ALMOST] Completed one square of the Market district, with only lighting and NPC's left.

However, I am no expert with creating Shop NPCs, so i may need help with that. Anyone here a NPC Master?
