True, I never got around to the Morrowind version. And, I like the idea of sprucing up the store more, it was kind of just put together. I propose: new books (fan-fic writings, lore writings), a quest between competing bookstores?, and a better interior than a copy of the First Edition. |

I'd be able to help interior-wise with Morrowind, and could probably start learning the scripting end of it. |

That sounds good to me... Morrowind bookstore in somewhere convenient, like Balmora? Or is Balmora too conflicting and we should place it somewhere else? Why don't we think of what we should spruce up for the Oblivion one as well. |

Yes, I'm sure Balmora would be too conflicting. Everyone puts stuff in Balmora. I would suggest maybe something in a faraway corner that no one cares about but is still easy to reach. Molag Mar would be a good choice. Just hop on the stilt strider and you're there. It's convenient, yet probably won't conflict with anything. |

Too inconvenient. The only way to get there is by walking. Sure, a Divine Intervention spell can bring you there, but thanks to Ebonheart and Moonmoth, the radius in which that spell with take you there and not somewhere else is small. Plus, I don't know about you but I always get lost when I'm trying to go there.

Seyda Neen? We could even do a Seyda Neen expansion. There's not too many of those. |

Dude, that is the most inconvenient place in the entire game. I mean, that's the first city you ever go to, so...um...yeah, that's just too difficult. I mean, putting it in the middle of Red Mountain would even be easier than that, and when I say "in the middle," I mean inside the mouth. That way, you not only have to climb to the top of the volcano, but also jump into and swim through the lava. That's What I call convenient. You even have to go to Red Mountain anyways for the main quest, so it's not even out of the way. You can go read some fan-fiction before taking on Dagoth Ur. I'm sure he can wait. Seriously, though, I think Seyda Neen would be a good choice...assuming we don't go with the Red Mountain idea. |

Do you even have the ability to detect sarcasm, Reds? Obviously that was just a joke. Seyda Neen is a good place.

Well For the Oblivion One, Where exactly is it? I mean Do We want it as your average building store in Market District, or is it More Mysterious? Is it based in a Building, Tent, Cave, Alyid [SP] Ruin, Castle, or Daedric realm/Shivering isles? |

The Oblivion one is in the Market District of the Imperial City, behind the Feed Bag. It's a pretty good location, although now that I think about it, it's probably better if we moved it to like Anvil or something, or somewhere that doesn't have a bookstore. As for location, why not Suran? It's only a silt strider away, and a little bit more remote than both Balmora and Seyda Neen. |

I also have something you guys can join in on if you wish. Evil Eye (my modding buddy) and myself are creating a mod called "Forgotten Memories". We're basically putting an entire world/continent UNDERNEATH all of Tamriel. We don't like Total Conversions too much and we're more into making darker sided mods. You see, the basics of the mod, is that the PC angers the wrong type of people, and gets tossed into this giant Oubliette known as Anihiliss, which has been forgotten since the early second era. (the many entrances and exits there once were became slowly sealed off beginning in the first era.) It's an incredibly hostile and inhospitable place, and the PC is not the only one to be tossed down it. Many have died, but civilization has actually managed to find it's way to this Oubliette. Anyway, She or he picks up a bunch of followers trying to find an exit to the place, and finally does find one. (outside of Ald-ruhn. But not before going through a perilous journey of quite a few "missions" that the PC must complete before getting back to Vvardenfell. I'll have to elaborate more on that later) These followers stay in that location, which is strangely deserted of hostile creatures. PC leaves, but comes back to find them building a city...which the PC aids in, and then the PC is elected Emperor of this new city. Now, what makes this mod stand out from the rest, aside from having a huge continent like place to explore... Most notably the Military System which Evil Eye and myself have been developing. It allows you to build an army (and I MEAN an army, we're talking hundreds and even thousands of soldiers), which is incredibly easy to manage, involving troop upgrades, and the Reserves System...allowing you to "Store" your soldiers that you can call back whenever you wish (ANY individual soldier, each soldier has companion share). And based on how you've "customized" your soldiers through dialogue, they will come out of this "storage" when your city is being invaded. And no, we don't summon all 100 - 10,000 troops at once, there's a cap which is configurable by the PC where only so many soldiers spawn at once on the battlefield (max being 35 vs 35) to help with PC performance, and corpses will dissapear as more men appear. Not only that, but you can capture any enemy soldier, then sell them to slavery, have them join your army, interrogate them for information, torture and/or execute them (and we've planned a LOT of options for torturing, and interrogations.) And yes, before you ask. This is indeed possible, Evil Eye and myself have planned every bit on how to work it scripting wise, and it's not as hard to script as it sounds. Though we have brainstormed on scripting tactics which haven't been used before in Morrowind. If you like the idea, I can show you HOW it's all possible. And yes, the city can be invaded. Next to the military system, which gets me excited the most...there's an incredibly large quest involved as well, and eve though most of it will center around Anihiliss....there will be quite a few new additions to Vvardenfell as well (including many easter eggs and extras) If I've perked your guys interests on this, let me know if you like the sound of it...and I'll make an entire thread detailing every part of what we've planned so far, and the rest of the features. And of course, if you want to know how it's done, I'll detail that too. |
