Suzuran High The School of Crows. Recognised as the toughest school in the country, it is a place where a man’s worth is proven by the strength of his fist. It has never been conquered and while many claim to have been King of the School at some stage, all stints were short lived. When Genji Takiya transferred during his third year, Suzuran was ruled by Tamao Serizawa and his Army. The school was plunged into turmoil as those loyal to Serizawa watched as Genji took class after class, enlisting them into his own forces; GPS. After a long and bloody fight, GPS took the day, marking Genji as the King of Suzuran. While Tamao acknowledged Genji’s victory, he and his army did not join the ranks of GPS and refused to accept Genji as their leader. An awkward truce existed between them; Genji claimed the title of King and Tamao did nothing to instigate a follow up fight. However, uniting a school full of warring delinquents turned out to be no easy feat and it quickly became apparent that even Genji couldn’t hold the various groups together. GPS was close to splitting at the seams and crumbling into disarray and all the while the stress of holding it all together started to take its toll on Genji. Thus, in a fit of arrogance, Genji struck out at a student from the neighbouring school Housen, breaking a two year truce right in front of Tamao. Thus started another blood feud, this one between schools. The already united Housen fell upon Suzuran, dividing, conquering and crushing. With no other way to survive, Tamao and Genji put their differences aside and finally joined forces. And with GPS and the Serizawa Army united, nothing could defeat them; the battle was won by Suzuran. Yet with the defeat of Housen, no further truce was made. While the schools seem content to ignore each other for the time being, all know that it is just a matter of time before the lines of battle will be drawn again. However, Suzuran is once again facing its own internal struggle. The alliance that allowed them to triumph over Housen was rocky at best and now with boredom setting in and graduation looming, the school is once again dividing. Fights are starting to break out between the younger ranks of the Serizawa Army and GPS and everyone has only one thing on their minds. When Genji and Tamao graduate, who will take over and rule the school? Some say that the current unity will last provided that Genji and Tamao both announce a successor. Others suspect that the moment they walk off campus, an all out blood bath will follow. All know that if that is the case, whatever camaraderie once existed between the warring classes will be long gone and the school will return to its divided fractions. A handful of the wiser ones know that if they fall into disarray then they will be leaving themselves open for Housen to attack once again. And without the leadership of Tamao and Genji, Suzuran will fall. With only a few months left to graduation, Genji and Tamao are struggling to keep control of their troops. The truce and trust between them is slipping and they both know it. Still, one last question remains. Will the Serizawa Army have once last crack at taking over the school before they leave forever? |
