Thousands of people are killed every year in workplace accidents, and many people get injured or suffer from illnesses, basically due to lack of proper workplace health and safety measures for the safety of the employees. Preventing accidents and illnesses at workplace should be the key priority of the employers. Managers and employers should make necessary arrangements to provide health and safety information and training for all their employees, to make sure that the employees are not injured or made ill by the work they do. Effective and on-time health and safety training will contribute towards making the staff competent in workplace health and safety, and thus help businesses avoid the distresses that accidents and illnesses cause. They can also help companies avoid financial losses due to workplace accidents and illnesses.
