---The Player--- Name; Jonathan Age; 17 Previous roleplaying experience; Lots, I suppose! I've been an avid table-top gamer for almost eight years now with experience within lots of different games and settings (DnD, BoL, DoD etc), as well as a half-crazy fantasy novel reader. I regularly attend roleplaying sessions together with friends and family(the interest is shared between the brothers) and somehow I think that I was raised to love roleplaying due to some devious scheeming of my older brother... Hmm. Either way, in World of Warcraft my experience starts about a year after the release of me making an attempt on Argent Dawn. Like many others it was a catastrophy! Table-topping and virtual ideas upon roleplaying does not add up, but I grew past my first mistakes and at the launch of Burning Crusade I switched to The Sha'tar, my homebase, and began the adventure as a Sin'Dorei. Notable experience might be being part of large scale projects such as the Gryphonheart Empire and the Blasted War, both situationed on The Sha'Tar, helping out as leader and officer of both. Both great times with lots and lots of new faces every day! Previous roleplaying experience on Steamwheedle; Not much I'm afraid. At the collapse I followed Pilus here and joined the Stormwind Watch for a short while before returning to The Sha'Tar. Reason for applying; Curiousity, and for the fact that your Guild gave me a thrill to begin playing again and break the break(Ha!) I've had from the game. You seem stable, interesting and quite a fun bunch. In other words, a blast of people I'd say. What you will expect from us as a roleplay guild; Lots and lots of chance to roleplay. My reason for leaving the game was a complete lack of chance to attend to roleplaying. And I felt a bit alienated from most of my previous server's roleplaying after my Guild fell apart and changed entirely. The manners of it reminds very much of this. And I think that'll help me feel at home here! ---The Character--- Full name; Tyraelic Val'Anir Dawnflame Title(s) (if applicable); Novice Darkmagi Class; Warlock Physical Description; Tall and suprisingly "bulky" for a person of the Sin'Dorei, not of course as much as that of a soldier, but this elf is not the willowly type of his magi brethren. A sorcerer who has yet not entirely devoted himself to studies his stature would expose. The skin itself is rather ruddy from hours of an outside life, only furthering the suspicion of not being a bookworm! The face tells a different story, the shimmering eyes of his seem to have stopped at a turqoise kind of aspect rather than growing entirely emerald or starting to revert to the cyan of those around that revert to the Old Ways. With piercing eyes and a rather prominent and strong nose, a hawk-like air his features present. And perhaps a slight tint of arrogance at times, giving a thought whether or not it's there or just imagination. The left ear has been adorned with two golden rings and at the bottom of his robe on the left side, a hint of a dark tribal tatto is clearly visible. Specializations and/or skills of your character; Tyraelic is a, or rather was a Mage as is specialization in almost Warlock-like magic tells. He stopped somewhere on the transition between the crave for futher power and the common sense of not dwelving further into dangerous arts. Thus he proclaims himself being a darkmagi. Not a Warlock, no, he would never believe himself fallen so low. Thus he simply imbues his own firemagic with some of the darker arts in an attempt to find ways to counter and understand that of his enemies. The thought is clearly good, but the result might be interesting to watch. Some sort of scholar he would fall under, with his research, or so he would think, of the darker arts. All in the name of the Sin'Dorei survival, some people has to get their hands dirty for the greater good. Background; I've probably mentioned much just above but, Tyraelic was, as mentioned a Magi. He was just a bit too eager to learn about that which should probably not be dwelved into, thus he's stuck on the path to being a Warlock, and reluctantly attempting to escape it by not tapping the least into demonology. He's just another one of those novices of the magi academy, perhaps showing some promise of greatness, but everytime he's presented with a chance to shine the result is mediocre. The Dawnflame family is not that much of a stature either, the most common profession within the family is that of swordplay retainers and artists, making Tyraelic somewhat of a blacksheep and more prominent than his other relatives. How is your character affected by the recent events involving the Sin’dorei; Shocked, of course, and furious. Tyraelic was one of the firm believers in that Kael'Thas was the promised redemption for their kind. He believed firmly in it, and was one of those who fell the furthest. His entire world was shaken, and he came out stronger, more motivated in the idea of the people itself making way into history. In paradox, his trust in the common Sin'Dorei has been strenghtened, and lessened in the old figures of power in Silvermoon. Views of your character on the Horde; Much faith has been put into the Horde which has shown a great possibility for co-operation, and their help, which has been true, is thankfully viewed upon by Tyraelic. He believes in actions nowadays, not promises. He may still be a bit uneasy amongst his newfound allies, but being a magi requires control, and he attempts to understand them. Carving out a place for survival is vital to him, and if the Horde can present that, then he will gladly co-operate. That's more than Kael'Thas ever did before his madness... In short he respects the Forsaken and the Orcs due to their aid, yet he cannot accept Trolls yet, centuries of hostility cannot be overseen so easily... How did your character hear about the Order; Being a magi in the lands of Quel'Thalas is like being roman in Rome. Being in touch, pulling threads, keeping a network is important. By many associates and contacts he has growing to know of them. Why would your character want to join the Order; So, Tyraelic has heard of the Order, in fact he has been asking around about them in his pursuit of a place for his ideals. Stepping down from being one's own master is a tough desicion, but if joining such an agenda can help them all. He's more than willing to. Reverting back to the Old Ways is a means of survival, and gathering strenght in Quel'Thalas is one of the few pursuits that he has. And hopefully, he will find someone who can understand his choices in the dark magics to help his own people. NOTE: All the jabbering about dark magic this and that refers to the fact that I see Tyraelic as an apprentice Warlock. Just as a mage starts working his way into such this, he's probably more into the "Destruction" way, seeing it game wise. Enhancing his magic to be more powerful before he continues onwards to the cursing and demonology. I do not want to play him as a Warlock, I have no interest in attempting to play a demon master, because I can barely keep track of myself! So Tyr's in between there, he's stuck at being slightly darker than a mage, wrestling his own ghosts to prevent himself from going over the edge. Something I've been wanting to play out for a long time! So in essential, not a Warlock, but a "Warlock"! *nods* ---The Dossier--- <LINEAGE> Born: Silvermoon City, Quel'Thalas Father: Aesric Val'Antir Dawnflame Born: Silvermoon City, Quel'Thalas Education: Graduated at the Silvermoon Military Academy Service: Swordplay retainer Mother: Celayne Laerilin Dawnflame Born: Fairbreeze Village Education: Unknown Service: Gems craftswoman <EDUCATION> The oldest son of the that time's generation, Tyraelic was offered the most expensive education between himself and his four cousins. Something strikingly reminding of a sibling cull rather than family. His studies began at a low age being taught mathematics, rhetoric, history, arts and to some extent, jewelcrafting - although he showed no skill whatsoever at the last. His father taught him swordplay, though it does not appear as his son caught the same interest for such physical activites, but prefered the libraries of Silvermoon rather to increase his mental knowledge. It was a dark day due the family when Tyraelic persuaded his father of sending him to the Silvermoon Magister Academy, where he appears to have enjoyed life. He was a promising youth, the records tell me, but whenever chance was given to him, he seems to have "failed" in showing skill. But he never fell behind either. Tyraelic graduated after a considerable time, two years more than the usual, and record has it that he dabbled into the darker arts during the year of the captured N'aruu when the fel-cursed traitor Kael'Thas supplemented our needs with Fel magic. Yet, his records tell nothing of staying onto that path. A curiousity is that he rather seems determined to imbue his magic with darker arts, a perhaps dangerous idea? Yet his tutors seemed confident in him that he has managed not to fall into the seduction of the Fel arts. Question is, for how much longer can he withstand it? <PERSONAL TRAITS> Calm, and mostly quiet. Things much revered in a student. But also ambitious, otherwise his dabblings with the Fel would never of happened. He appears to be in controll, and most likely prefers that way. Much alike other magisters. He also has a peculiar knack for Fire magic, tainted Fire magic. The man himself however could well conseal himself within a magister crowd, he shares none of the outward signs of straying into the darkness. He's quick to laughter, but with a grim anger towards those few he has ever counted as enemies. Though I doubt the man would ever comit something in the open, he's far too much of a magister to pass the chance of scheeming, yet he shows promises of a refreshing sense of loyalty towards his own kin. A double edged sword in conclusion, his intentions in life seems just and clear to himself. His sole purpose of his research is claimed to be for the better of all of us, both by action and word. He gives the impression of being trustworthy. But how much more can this sword be swung until it strikes himself and others? <PHYSICAL TRAITS> The young man is in great shape for being a magister, probably a remnant from his youth. He still practices with the sword and does many chores by hand rather than by magic, leaving a man in good physical shape rather than a backbent bookworm to magister. Like the rest of his family, he shares their dark hair, long and proud posture, and by some strange accord - his eyes are turqoise. Perhaps just a nick of fate. The skin is ruddy which proves his dedication to outside life and physical activity. Yet, there is not much to this man's apperance rather than the hawklike features shared by his parents. <PSYCHOLOGICAL STATE> His stubborn resistance towards the Fel arts show a great mental discipline and willpower, which in the right hands can be forged into a powerful weapon. Yet caution is advised, those of the magister kind that dwelved far into the abyss has lost more than a great deal of their independence and mind, and are known to consort with demons. Young Dawnflame shows no outer signs of descending madness, neither to magic or to demonic influence. Perhaps rumors are true can he can control his art. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Compiled and documented by your faithful servant, -Scribe Milathos Brightwater Edited by Tyraelic, Oct 20 2010, 02:49 PM.

I don't suppose the officers and I could trouble you to fill out an in-character dossier? (You'll find the template in the same thread you found the application template) With the confusion regarding the slightly undefined "Dark Magi" description, the dossier, although now a compulsary part of the application, would be a very helpful tool in helping our decision. Thanks! -Arramar |

It's completely my fault. I had a paragraph in there about it which wasn't very eye-catching so I've added a template to make it stand out more.

All done, I took the liberty to use Shiriyas "scribe" which is writing a report to Arramar I believe. EDIT: I just want to point out that the entire "Dark Magi" idea is no claim to be a "speshul" person. Simply an idea that I've had for a long time and thought would be interesting to do. I fear that it might be misinterpreted that I aim to be some special flake in the crowd. This however is not the intent.
