Kamichama Karin is a cute anime/manga about these magical rings that can transform certain people into gods/goddesses. It's made by the same person who created Pita Ten. Karin, the main character of Kamichama Karin, is a 12-13 year-old girl who's not doing so well. Her parents are dead, her grades are falling, and to top it all off, her stress-relieving cat, Shii, just died. While mourning over the death of Shii, Karin meets a sexist boy named Kazune. After a bunch of random stuff (too lazy to type it all up, sorry), a mysterious guy appears and tries to take Karin's special ring, which was a memento of her mother. Luckily, he is unsuccessful in doing so. Later, Karin discovers that she her ring holds the power of a goddess, and that she can transform to use this power. -------------------- Discuss Kamichama Karin and Kamichama Karin -Chu (season two) here.
