Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a mecha anime/manga. Now don't just go judging it so soon! I know what you're thinking! "Ugh, not another Gundam anime." TTGL is not about Gundams! Gundams are for Wings and Seeds, got that? Good, I guess I'll continue then... It takes place in the future. No, the Earth is not covered in metal and run by electricity. Pretty much all humans live underground in their dirty, small villages. They spend all their time digging. Time to introduce the main character, Simon! Simon is a 14 year-old orphan. He likes to dig. Simon finds a small drill one day while he's digging, and that's where the story begins.
