Name: Olivia Age: 26 Height: 5'9" Weight: 112lbs / Tall Build Laterality: Ambidextrous Star: Tenku Star - The Empty Star Hometown: Harmonia Occupation: Major of the Capital Security Force of Gregminster Weapon: Strahl / Licht / Sonne (Gun) A mysterious weapon, used by operatives of the Howling Voice Guild. Crafted to mock the dueling guns, Stern and Mond, Sun symbolizes "truth", an unknown function to the Guild of assassins from Harmonia. However Sun has a much more modern design, crafted with an interchangeable revolving chamber, which can be loaded with six bullets. It's most distinctive features is the octagonal barrel, top strap frame, brass trigger guard and distinctive loading lever web. The bullet mechanism is based on the idea of clock mechanics, known only by "Tricksters", one such Trickster was captured by the guild and bled his secrets out, leading to many creations, including this gun. The metal is polished to a bright shine, with a solid ivory handle, on occasion a sock extension can be mounted on it, for better aiming at longer distances. It's unknown how Olivia came into possession of this weapon, but she was found with it at a young age, and refused to let go of it. Runes: Head: Right Hand: Left Hand:Wind Class and MP Tier: Heavy Warrior 6/4/2/0 Character Description: Olivia stands above most of her female friends, and matching heights with most men. To this end, she usually wears a stern, ready-for-anything expression on her face. While she excels at work and her duties, her social skills are her weak point, often unsure what face to wear for most occasions, preferring to avoid them if at all possible. However, when she is able to express herself, genuinely, some might say she looks rather attractive. Her hair, a vibrant red, tied back into a pony-tail more often then not, with short bangs in the front, and two long strands on both sides. Make-up is a foreign object to her, not something she'd be caught in around people she knows. Dressed in a long-sleeved white shirt, tucked into dark-brown pants, which in turn are tucked into her mid-calf, red-leather laced boots, complete with a piece of steel covering the front. Over the shirt is a red, form-fitting vest, with a large collar with buckled, folded down. She wears a set of fingerless red-leather gloves, and a set of brown belts over the vest, holding ammo and other oddities at her side. Attached to the belt is the harness she wears for her weapon, keeping it in place, but in reach on her right side. To cover all this is a faded white cape, showing it's age. Biography: Olivia herself doesn't know much of her past, nor can she find anyone who does. The best she can remember is a large, dark building, intensely cold. She was found in a forest near the Kwaba Fortress, by Ain Gide. After spending days trying and failing to find the young girls parents, Ain's subordinate Rosh, opted to adopt her, as he and his wife were having trouble having a child of their own. So the young couple took her in at the age of ten, or so. When she was found, she held several bruises upon her body, carrying a large bag of strange items, a large metal weapon, several small, pointed metal objects, and two books, both full of nonsensical gibberish. Not knowing her own name, age, and not even talking, the couple named her Olivia, and from then on, started to celebrate the day she was found has her birthday. It took a year before she finally started talking, but still knew nothing of her past, and yet she began to function as any child would of her age. She knew the Gide family children fairly well, becoming childhood friends with Vanir, Malcolm, and Natalie, and entered the Military School roughly around the same time as Vanir and Malcolm. After graduation she joined the Scarlet Moon Empire military, but kept her duties rather subtle, serving Ain Gide, with short stints in and out of Kasim Hazil's command. It wasn't until after the Liberation War when she began to seriously push her military career. Citing the death of her father in the war as the reason to compel her forward. While in the Military Academy, she showed an uncanny skill with ranged weapons, topping the class in both Archery and Thrown Weapons. While she used a set of throwing weapons in her early military days, she eventually began to look inward at the objects she carried in her youth. After much research and help from what many consider to be crazy old men by most, and wizened geniuses by few, she learned that the books were written in code. After figuring out the cipher, she began to translate and learn about the objects she carried, but not about where they come from, where she was from, or anything else. She continued her military career from there, joining Kwanda Rosman with the birth of the Toran Republic, and finding place under command of Vanir Gide. Even though the two are childhood friends, not many in the military can tell given their public rapport. Sent as the bodyguard for the "ambassador", though the truth is she volunteered, to keep Vanir in line and on duty. Personality: Unusually calm and collected, with a sharp tongue and a focused mind. She's dedicated to her work after seeing the atrocities of the Scarlet Moon Empire during the war. Not really heartless, or emotionless, she keeps a steady calm through-out most of her daily ventures. But this doesn't get in the way of her genuine smile, or the devious smirk reserved only for Vanir. She keeps herself well-informed of anything pertaining to her work, or Vanir's, and often adopts a rather annoying tone in response to his immense skill at shirking his own duties. The pangs of her past creep up from time to time, yet, she has grown able to deal with them in stride, by focusing on the present. However they still had an effect on her, and in her youth she was rather quiet and reserved, almost fearful to speak. While she grew out of some parts of this, she remained quite reserved on her opinions towards strangers and higher-ups. While many would have a hard time telling, she feels most at ease around the friends of her childhood, and her co-workers. Prologue (RP Sample): "Where is he?" Kwanda said, waiting by a carriage outside the palace in Gregminster. He cleared his throat and began to tap his foot, a rather loud feat given his entire plate suit of armor. But as he did so, a red-head in green and yellow garb ran up and saluted him. "Sir, I just found out that Vanir had left a few days prior, taking an obscure mountain route north." she said. The general did his best to resist the urge to face-palm. He sighed, focusing his gaze on a random, near-by shrubbery. "You're going after him," he said, adopting a cold determination, "Take a Gul-horse, and his father's Gul-Horse as well. The carriage will met you at the border of Muse and Highland." Kwanda turned to the two guards sitting on the carriage, waving them off. As he did so, Lepant stepped out of the main doors of the palace with several attendants and guards. His aged face took a hard gaze at General Rosman as he approached him. "Ah, Sir Lepant, it seems there was a mix-up." "I figured that out," he didn't really seem annoyed but more distracted by something. "Normally I'd ignore things such as this..." He said, presenting an ornate envelope, decorated with gold leaf and a waxed seal of the Blight family. "I've never known the Royal family of Highland to be so eager or open with their political matters. Much less request a presence of a representative from our country, past or present." He seemed genuinely confused as the wind whipped his long red hair about. He turned to the Major beside his General. "Find him now, Highland has me worried, and the advisers are at odds about their possible motives." He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Make sure he stays safe, and above all doesn't provoke the Royal family's ire." Olivia nodded back in return, her own red hair bobbing to the motion. Lepant stepped back and gave Kwanda Rosman a nod, returning to his duties in the palace. The general then turned to Major Olivia. "I wanted to tell Vanir this but, we went ahead and sent Malcolm ahead. They don't know they're going to met up as soon as they are, and even though he volunteered, we were hoping it would be him for this mission." he shifted his stance. "I don't know if we're going to send any others, but, you'll know if we do. All reports will be sent directly to you." Olivia saluted in response, ready to depart. "Major, I have to ask..." he said, just as she began to turn away. "With your performance and dedication, why haven't you taken that promotion offered to you yet?" She seemed a bit surprised that he had known, but let a small smile grow upon her face. "Not yet sir, I'd like to stay with my unit a while longer." He nodded satisfied, and with that, she ran off to prepare for her journey through the Badlands and into Dunan. Player: Brad Edited by Culgan, Tue Sep 7, 2010 1:17 am.

Accepted! Please post this profile in the Personal NPCs section and make sure you are familiar with the Personal NPC guidelines. This counts as Vanir's first NPC. --- She looks like a good character to me, and nice use of Rosh the subordinate. I'm looking forward to seeing her in the RP! |
