Takeru was of course not surprised when Kaya paid for both the cake he had chosen for Karyu-san. It was a very kind gesture and he spoke to the other with regards.

"It was very thoughtful of you to pay for mine too Kaya, next time I'll treat you to something.." he said smiling to the shopkeeper as both Kaya's cake and his small slice were placed into separate bags, prettily decorated and as advertisement to others also.

“Thank you so much Takeru-san.”

The blonde and much older vampire smiled at his friend before replying in his usual friendly tone. "It wasn't a problem Kaya, its always a pleasure to help a friend.." he broke off and frowned a little though when Kaya's voice fell into an almost whisper, obviously Kaya still felt unease being in a shop run by humans that he'd probably never go into alone, unlike himself who was a regular.

I don’t think I would have been able to come in here on my own.”

Kaya glancing around was a definite sign and Takeru decided that it was time to take his friend away from the shop that way both themselves and the patrons in the shop would both feel more at ease. It wasn't that they couldn't handle themselves it was just most of the time a peace was kept between the humans and themselves.

"Don't worry Kaya they're all really nice people both Sid and his patrons. But its probably just because its the first time they've seen you in this shop..." he said in a quiet whispery tone, waving and saying his goodbye to Sid before ushering Kaya out of the cake shop, and speaking once again when the door closed, his voice a little louder and clearer also.

"I mean you don't seem like the type to constantly have a sweet tooth and cater to the human indulgences I rather enjoy. But I'm sure it'll be easier next time if you choose to return to this shop alone.." he added reassuring his friend in his usual, happy manner.

"The evening is still young most cakes need to be refrigerated, however since you chose a sponge you don't have to do that straight away unlike most others.." he added smiling as he waited for his friends reply.

Kaya bowed respectfully to the shopkeeper and his clients before leaving with Takeru. Checking over his parcel carefully he made sure he was satisfied with his purchase before nodding decisively to Takeru. When Takeru mentioned that he didn’t seem like the type to like sweets he laughed and shook his head, his scarlet curls bouncing slightly with the movement.

“Oh Takeru-san, I have such a bad sweet tooth. It’s just that I’m not often allowed to indulge in such trivialities. I have to keep my ‘girlish’ figure up after all.” He winked and tilted his body in a flirtatious manner. At the suggestion of refrigerating the cake he was brought back to the situation on hand.

“Oh yes, I’d better get this to Karyu-san.” He smiled sweetly at his companion. “If you would like I wouldn’t mind walking with you, if you’re heading home that is.” Really Kaya just wanted the company and he had become wary of walking about on his own due to his run in with Tak. Too much trouble game from that meeting though he had had met Karyu through the unfortunate events.

Kaya's mannerisms towards the owner of the shop Takeru found was very befitting and what you'd expect from his friend, although he was only a slave he held himself with as much integrity and pride as the Greater's did.

“Oh Takeru-san, I have such a bad sweet tooth. It’s just that I’m not often allowed to indulge in such trivialities. I have to keep my ‘girlish’ figure up after all.”

The blonde with various coloured streaks in his hair blinked a little at Kaya's confession of sorts and he pouted at the fact the other wasn't allowed a lot more time to enjoy himself.

"Well I think you should be allowed more time for the things you enjoy perhaps I could suggest to Toshi-sama perhaps? And I think your figure is a little fine, you don't see me tubby and I eat a lot.." he said laughing at the image of himself a little fatter and with more "meat" on his bones.
"On second thought maybe not, Ryuuto would be mad if I gained any weight.." he added pouting again before shifting his small bag that held the precious sweet goodness of a cake with care.

“Oh yes, I’d better get this to Karyu-san.” Kaya smiling caused Takeru to smile back just as much “If you would like I wouldn’t mind walking with you, if you’re heading home that is.”

Takeru nodded and made a whistle which brought Kinya to him, who flew down and perched gracefully on his shoulder, playfully nipping at his bobble hat. "I'd be more than happy for the company, even though I generally walk on my own for long amounts of time sometimes having a good friend such as yourself makes it all the more enjoyable.." he added in a genuine soft tone.

Although Takeru was a Greater Vampire he still respected and liked everyone for the most part, except for when he was in blood-lust or frenzy or overcome with hunger.

Kaya smiled his gratitude towards Takeru’s acceptance in walking with him back to the residential area. He felt a great deal of relief at having the company for the trip back. Cradling his package carefully he opened his decorated umbrella once more to keep the mist off of himself and his newly acquired parcel. Walking gingerly beside Takeru he tried to ignore the pain in his feet from his shoes as they proceeded on their way.

About a quarter of the way there though after idle chatter between the two Kaya stopped and stared at Takeru for a moment. He couldn’t believe he was about to do this in front of another but he couldn’t take it any longer. Holding out his parcel to Takeru he asked the other to hold the precious cake for a moment before he place his umbrella on the ground and undid his shoes.

Stepping out of the torture devices he looked at his feet as the white socks soaked up the rainwater from the street, turning slightly see through and clinging to the now wet skin of Kaya’s feet. The white socks were already ruined however from the small splits and sores that had accumulated over the course of the evening.

Sighing Kaya picked up his shoes and his umbrella closing the latter and hooking it over his arm. Taking his package back he bowed slightly to the other vampire.

“I’m so sorry. Please don’t tell anyone.” He pouted slightly as they started walking again, Kaya taking care to where he was stepping so that he didn’t injure his poor feet further. At least he had the advantage of being a vampire in that they would heal within a couple of hours though he couldn’t say the same for his poor stockings.

Takeru noticed how Kaya held the cake box in its lovely bag with such care, obviously wanting to keep it in shape and as perfect as it looked in the display. But he frowned a little when Kaya's walk started to go a little askew and not as they would generally, perhaps Kaya had hurt his foot?

When Kaya paused and handed over both his umbrella and the bag the blonde knew something was wrong and when Kaya undid his black mary-jane styled shoes with white lace like decoration covering the straps and the main part of the shoe and Takeru winced at the fact lovely white socks were getting wet, but also has a few tears and some red stains which made the blonde Greater Vampire realize that looking as good as Kaya did came with many pains.

Kaya sighing before he spoke made him come to a decision there was no way in hell he was letting his friend walk in such a horrible state and the only thing he could do was carry his friend on piggy back.

“I’m so sorry. Please don’t tell anyone.”

Takeru found the pout from his friend rather endearing and when Kaya took the package off him he shook his head and took the it back, stopping his friend from walking.
"I cannot have you like this, jump onto my back Kaya I will carry you and don't try to tell me otherwise. It is still a long walk to Karyu's house.."

The colourful blonde knew he'd have no problem carrying Kaya's items, his own and said other, after all he may he lithe and slim but he held a lot of hidden strength inside of his build. He smiled when Kaya reluctantly got onto his back, arms gracefully wrapping themselves around his neck and his carrying Kaya's slim legs with his arms, whilst balancing the closed umbrella and both bags.

How it would look to an onlooker Takeru didn't know but even if they did it certainly wasn't their business. "Hold on tight Kaya, I'm going to get us there a little quicker.." he said giggling slightly before setting off into a fast, inhuman run, Kinya close behind him as they neared the destination.

Kaya felt the shame colour his cheeks as Takeru took the packages back. He couldn’t allow for the other to carry him, especially not so far as the residential area.

“Takeru-san...” he protested as the other even picked up his shoes for him. He couldn’t resist the strength of the older Vampire for long though and soon they were travelling at lightning speed toward You’s home. The tight corset around his middle made it difficult to breathe which made keeping a tight grip even more difficult.

Soon they were in front of the large Victorian mansion and Kaya was being let down gently on the bottom step of the stoop. Bowing shallowly in thanks to Takeru, he accepted his parcel, umbrella and shoes back from the other with a shy smile.

“Thank you so much Takeru-san.” He looked over his shoulder at the front door of the house before turning back to his companion. “I would invite you in but well...” He flicked his hand slightly and chuckled. Kaya could hardly invite Takeru into the home. It wasn’t his. Bowing once more he smiled brightly remembering to give Kinya a quick nod.

“Thank you for all your help. I’ll make sure Toshi-sama gets your message.” Still grinning he turned away and padded quietly up the stairs to the front door, shivering slightly due to his wet feet and slightly damp hair.

Even though Takeru knew that Kaya was going to be slightly embarrassed and mortified about the fact someone of his status was helping him he scoffed at the idea of having hierarchy dominate something so trivial. Regardless that Kaya was a slave he was still a close and dear friend and that was all he saw.

During the run he knew Kaya was having a little trouble the other wasn't really dressed in the most sensible of attire but nonetheless each to their own. His own style was a little eccentric and bizarre but that was made him unique just as it did Kaya.

When they finally came to the destination he carefully let his friend down off his back and smiled as the other spoke thanking him and taking all of the items he was carrying for the other. “Thank you so much Takeru-san.” Kaya glancing back and being a little at his home before adding a little more. “I would invite you in but well...” the hesitance in Kaya didn't bother the blonde at all. He understood how the other was and the mansion most likely wasn't at it's best.

“Thank you for all your help. I’m make sure Toshi-sama gets your message.”

"You're welcome Kaya and I'd appreciate it if you did update Toshi-sama on how both Ryuuto and myself are..." he paused for a moment before continuing "Ryuu-kun is probably wondering where I am, take care ne Kaya? We should do this sometime.."

Takeru smiled and watched as Kaya want into his residence before calling for Kinya and stroking the crow's head and heading towards his home, humming to himself. This evening's walk had been a nice one Takeru had to admit and then there was the other problem. Eating the cake now or later..?
