Rules... Not fun but necessary! 1.No Godmodding: This means that you can not play as another member's character, you can not control them, you are not all powerful or all knowing. Do this and you will receive an upgrade to your warning level. 2.Each RP post must be at least 500 words and five paragraphs... Wink Just kidding. Those rules regarding length are ridiculous. There are times when the RP is best served by a short concise post. However, remember to make your posts something the next person can react to. There will be no strikes and suspensions in this regard, but you may get a PM from a staff member offering to work with you on improving your posts. Take the help. It can only make you a better RPer. 3.SPAM is illegal! Do not post nonsensical posts. Make sure that all posts are relevant etc. The post will be deleted if this happens and you will earn a strike. 4.You must be able to post at least once a week in an RP. I don't really care about OOC activity, it is fun but not mandatory. 5. Sex. Once again we'll be guided rules by the TV series and our Terms of Service with our host that specifies a PG-13 site. Sex is portrayed in a non-pornographic manner and will be dealt with in the same manner on the board. There are ways to imply an act without getting too graphical. Use them, or ask us for advice if you're not sure how. 6.As in the TV series, drugs, violence and weapons are ok but do not go overboard. If an admin or mod notices you are going overboard with the drugs and violence we will ask you to stop using them. If you do not conform, your warning level will be upgraded. Alcohol is, of course, ok. 7.Do not Flame other members. Petty and inflammatory behaviour will NOT be tolerated, no matter who started it. Suspensions and bannings will be applied without warning. Should you have a problem with the conduct of a member, PM the Dr Weir or Sheppard. 8.Please use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Of course we understand that not everyone's first language is English. But otherwise we will not understand what you say or mean, and you won't be taken very seriously! 9.It is not allowed to advertise via PM! If you are caught, suspensions and bannings will be applied without warning. 10.Technology: Keep it true to the series. No super laser rifles and mega-death cannons. If you want to introduce something new, PM Dr Weir. 11.In the Cbox/Shoutbox we will enforce ALL rules. (When we get one) 12.No discrimination- sexism, racism it's all banned here- do not do it. Automatic ban. Your character may be a discriminator but keep it easy. 13.Do not take IC comments personal. It is an attack on the charie not the member.
