No, not "Windows Discovery" or "Windows Inspiration" - Windows 7 is coming! Windows 7 Screenshots Windows 7 tries to fix all the problems of its predecessor, Vista. It's compatible with all Vista programs and hardware. An unpopular part of Vista was the myriad of prompts thrust upon the user. Windows 7 will allow you to hide or turn off notifications from applications in the system tray. Interface changes. It looks almost identical to Vista but it has a few differences. The taskbar has icons for each running program; Larger icons; full screen previews when you hover over an application in the taskbar (similar to Vista); and Office 2007 type toolbars for Wordpad and Paint. And there's probably a bunch of other stuff. Other changes include the ability to make windows transparent to see the desktop and a new feature called "libraries" where you can gather a bunch of files from different locations and put them together in a folder of sorts. Windows 7 will also capitalise on touch scren technology, trying to replace the keyboard and mouse (iPhone anyone?). |

Sounds good...I don't particularly like the new Vista setup after all. If it's more customizable I'd like that. |

Vista could definitely use some fixing. The layout was completely new and the majority of my friends who converted to Vista from XP due to their new computers all gave negative feedback. The only thing I've known Vista for is the super security which they have (I have Vista on my laptop but I hardly use it since I spend most of my time on my desktop). Well, best of luck with Windows 7, lucky number 7!
