Does anybody happen to know all changes their making from the original game? I just know what it says on Wiki

Quote:

First Departure features an entire overhaul of the original game's engine, instead using a slightly altered version of the engine used for Star Ocean: The Second Story with similar features, including prerendered backgrounds and 3D battle fields. Production I.G provided new artwork and animated cutscenes for the game. New playable characters have been added as well. There are new voice actors and extensive amounts of new, fully voiced dialogue.[5] The remake also features a theme song, "Heart" by the Japanese group Asunaro.

But I imagine they'll add a new dungeon or two right? That seems to be one of the things that happens with remakes. Dunno why they wanna change the entire engine though, its just fine as it is.

Changes
- Changed a bunch of characters names and town names
- Added in world maps like in SO2. For Roak and Fargett
- Totally moved the location of the Seven Star Ruins.
- Cool Anime Cut Scenes
- Eris and Welch become playable characters
- 7 anime cut scenes total
- Character Soundtest can be found in the opening menu like in SO2
- Item Creation System is a bit different
- Neo Revorse is now a ghost demon looking thing instead of a machine

I can't really think of much else really

Only 7? :o Heh, I'm greedy for anime cut-scenes.

I haven't played too much but also there's a movie gallery on the opening menu and the in-game menu has a layout similar to that of SO3. And the inventory is weird - you can't view all your items at once!

'Course, I'm basing these off the fact that these features weren't included in SO2.
Woo, Suikoden!

If you ever see a sign on the side of the road reading "Love Shack," DRIVE AWAY!!! :O
And they now use the battle system from Second Story, that's probably the biggest change.

Ooh, ooh, I know one: there are more treasure chests. Yes, there are more. Why? Well, they added Welch, so there are treasure chests for her weapons, right? Unless, they replaced the items form the original one to make room for Welch's? Oh, and there are additional PAs, too, since there are two new characters.

Well, the fact that the game is now portable is another huge difference. But I don't think there's much else that's been changed that hasn't already been discussed here.
