With the unique dual story mode in the game, offering a point of view of both Claude & Rena, which did you prefer? Did you like the events of one more then the other? Or simply prefer the characters that come with one over the other? |

I haven't played both, but I think I'd prefer Claude's only because I think it'd be more interesting from the viewpoint of a total outsider. Though, the part of the story on Nede must be good from Rena's point of view. |

Generaly, people like Claude's as it gives you a better understanding. Personaly, I've only played through Rena's, But you miss out on a few key parts. (spoilers) For ex/ when Claude is transported back to the Calnus, and when Claude is knocked of the ship. I'm waiting till the remake to play through on Claude's. I'm still trying to decide who I'm going to recruit. |

I liked both pretty much equally. Claude's had more scope, but Rena's had more depth and emotion on some points. I think in order to fully enjoy all aspects of the game, including recruiting all of the characters, you'd need toplay through both stories multiple times. Which is what I did...and still do! |

I've only ever played Claude's story. I never even played Rena's story, and there's a single reason behind it: you can't get Leon. I always use Leon in my party, even though some people don't like him, so I can't bear to go through the game using Dias instead of him. I was lucky the first time I played, because I automatically picked Claude, and it turns out that you can only recruit Leon in Claude's story. |

Well, if I ever get to FINISHING Claude's story... Of course I'll try Rena's out to see what happens. I worry about character recuitment, usually around the third or fourth playthrough. |

I think the only difference is Leon and Dias, right? I've seen videos of people playing as Rena that have the same characters as the ones Claude can have. |

I think I said in the Male of Female thread that I don't care whether or not the main character is a boy or a girl, so long as I like them I hated Rena, for the simple truth that she's annoying, and so I refused to play as her, ever! Another reason why Claude was my pick. |

I don't think she's very annoying. She's a very nice and sincere girl. Of course, I'm not very far in the story, but so far, it's how it seems to me. |

I never voted here myself? Heh. Anyway, it's definitely Claude's story for me, it feels more complete with the prologue events of him mysteriously ending up on Expel to start with. I don't really like Dias either which furthers my interest in Claude's story. Because Leon 'temporarily' joins even if you are playing Rena's story. |

And Fate makes Rena sounds completely useless. Not true! She's saved me when I accidentally wandered into a BAD area with strong enemies. I barely escaped... |

She's not useless, that's a fact, but I couldn't stand her. I use items in the first portion of the game rather than her symbology. |

Oh, yeah, I don't use Celine, either. I just disliked her, so i refused to use her at all. I didn't like Noel, so I didn't use him, either. So, by default, since I liked Claude and not Rena, I played as Claude, always. |

No, I do like Celine. That second sentence was directed at Rena. Also, I think Leon's the better symbologist. And since he can only be gotten on Claude's story, that's one more (old) reason. |
