^ Funny that they actually will release it for the X-Box when you seemed so doubtful :p I hate to think how many discs it will take up though. And PS3 are pretty cheap now, picked mine up in a sale for £250 (80GB with LBP machine and game first hand). Anyways. Anybody bothered to watch the demo? Looked to me like they were ripping a lot off FFVII. They said something about wanting the game to be really popular in ten years after the realse like 7 was so I guess they decided to study VII a bit too hard yet again >_> Generally wasn't too impressed by the demo personally but it did look very pretty i guess. Things I like; Character design graphics monster design battle system (in the final it will be much better) Music what I didn't like; Seems to rip off 7 but also it seems sort of 8 inspired (and was that a Robotic Judge at the end? Lawl). So huge minus points for being unoriginal. Sazh seems to be a bad comic relief character Has lovely battle music BUT it gets tired quickly unfortunately. Worry that it seems very action like than RPG like..although the final will have levels now apparently. There are plenty of videos and impression on it here if you managed to miss out: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3173735 How the final will differ from the demo; # Battle difficulty will be greatly increased. In fact, Toriyama expects XIII to be "the most difficult FF ever". Just wanna say that this sounds like a load of lies. I will be stunned if its harder than the original version of Final Fantasy 1 and if they did this they would lose all their casual fans and I can't see them wanting this to happen since a large part of their fan base seems to be casual gamers. # In the demo, party members are CPU controlled. In the final, you'll be able to issue them directives. # Continuing your "Chain" in the demo isn't very important in the demo, but will vital in the final. # The classic FF victory fanfare isn't present in the demo, but will be in the final. # Victory poses may be incorporated into the final; the matter is currently under consideration. # If the first hit of a chain kills an enemy in the demo, your character continues attacking air for the duration of the combo. This will be remedied in the final. # Snow is barehanded in the demo, but will have weapons available to him in the final. # Encounters occur solely from the front in the demo, but various encounter styles will be present in the final. # The final will have a level system. # The demo only allows you to control one character, but the final will have a new system for managing other party members in battle. # The final will have command shortcuts. # Selecting your target in the demo can be a bit of a chore; the final will have a more streamlined targeting mechanism. # The final will have an "item" command in battle. # NPC dialogue will be subtitled in the final. In the demo, there is only voice. # Sazh's rather bizarre battle animation will be altered to be less strange, and more "jolly". # The Time Gauge maxes out at 3 in the demo, but you'll be able to add more segments in the final through a new character growth system. # Summons will be present in the final. The mysterious "TP Bonus" that appears after battles in the demo relates to them. # Finally, the occasional frame rate drops in the demo will be fixed, according to Toriyam Edited by Gumdrop, Apr 25 2009, 10:25 PM.
