It is almost everybody's dreams to get behind the wheels, and racing games are just the closest thing to the reality. My favourite racing games include: Gran Turismo 3/4 (probably the most "real" game out of all). Burnout 3/4 (I just enjoy the fun side of cars, which is all about crashing and causing chaos on the streets). =P Ridge Racer 1/2 (the ONLY racing titles I enjoy on my little psp, I can't leave home without one of the either). CTR/CNK (Crash Kart series) - not really "real" cars, but is definitely a racing game, I enjoy most of the Crash racing titles, since it has so many challenges to offer aside from the main racing events, some of them being quite challenging. Feel free to post your thoughts. =) |

I'm not big on racing games at all to be honest. Although, I did fall in love with Gran Turismo for the 1st and 2nd installments, I found that quite addictive. The whole concept of having to get your license, actually skillfully drive in a racing game in more a simulation style, purchase parts to your car etc was fantastic. Although by the time GT3 was out I'd lost interest in it. The only other racing games I've enjoyed are the Action Hybrid types, such as the various Mario Kart titles. I had some great and even frustrating 4 player times with that very game. "OMG WHO USED THE BLOODY LIGHTNING SHRINKING THING?!" and it would be on for young and old! XD |

^LOL. Aww damn, GT was probably the most successful racing games ever made. I don't have many Nintendo consoles(other than the outdated GBA), so I'm not familiar with Mario Kart. I've seen some of the gameplay and it's quite similar to Crash Kart series. And yeah, it happens a lot of the time when you're vsing your friends. "NOOO! I'LL GET YOU BACK WITH MY TIME DISTORTION FOR BLASTING ME WITH THAT ROCKET!" Those "Action-Hybrid" types are certainly great fun. =) |

Need for Speed: Most Wanted, that's all she wrote. I like all of the Need for Speeds, I like NASCAR games, and that's about it for racing games. |

Well, the only true racing game I've played was Gran Turismo 4. Such a fun racing game, and its fun to race with no purpose. |

Racing games are okay. I don't like them that much, since I find that it's the exact same thing over and over again. After a while, it gets sort of boring, being so repetitive. |

It's also annoying when they start drafting. You almost make it to the finish line, but you don't see a car behind you. You cover it from the wind, it becomes faster than you, and the next thing you know, it speeds past you! |

It's just so cheap when during the beginning of the race, the other cars seem to know a secret boost move that propels them miles away and you'll never catch up! |

But then the cars somehow begin to lose speed. But at the beginning, it seems that they don't even need to accelerate, they just go the normal speed straight away. |

I guess the main focus was the racing and the tracks, so nobody really cared about the story. They can make it as crazy as possible. What was the story, anyway? |
