I had to go with Fayt. I use him almost exclusively. My next would be Cliff then Maria. Although Cliff seems so slow in combat sometimes. I have always used Fayt's air raid, but just recently started using side kick. I find it fairly effective, especially at the start of battles. never got into character's like adray and peppita. just couldn't get into them. |

Voting for Albel. ♥ Though I also like Cliff, Roger, Nel, and Maria battle-wise. Meh..I like all of them, although I personally didn't use Adray or Mirage much...maybe when I get to playing SO3 again, I'll use them more. |

Is this about personality or combat capabilities?I I'll just explain both but the characters in this game weren't entirely interesting personality wise compared to the ones in So2 and certainly not the villians. Which makes choosing who my favorite one is pretty simple since there's only such a limited selection. My favorite would have to be Fayt due to the fact that he is the main hero who took a vow to protect his friends, family, and save the universe from imminent doom. I respect him for that bravery. He was strong and determined, showed great loyalty and trust to his comrades-in-arms and ultimately provided a well balanced encouragement which influenced them to stand tall and defend what they hold sacred and close to their heart. I thought his character was displayed very well throughout the game. The underdog who becomes a great hero, full of vigor and courage, even while the odds are against him like during the besiege that took place at the beginning he vowed to protect Sophia. He had witts and made his team have witts, they were about to go into impending doom and still fought valiantly for righteousness in the life threatening ordeal that they were plagued with. I was very astonished by that whole part he played a part in; a very big part at that. So with that said, I did find him to be interesting, he made a big impact on the game, well he's the main character, he should but there's many main characters that lack thereof. I liked Claude in So2 better though. As for fighting capability, he was very easy to use compared to the other characters and well balanced. I tended to spam Dimension Door with him alot, not so much for the other moves. So he excelled at personality and combat. Edited by swordandshield, Jun 18 2009, 12:41 PM.

Fayt is my favorite character because if he is used correctly, he is the most powerful character in the game. Also he has access to the most damaging battle skill in the game. Once I used Ethereal Blast, and I got a total of 1300000 points of damage. |

I like characters who can score a quick MP kill. Well anyway, my Maria doesn't see battle till pre-game. Albel is generally useless, Cliff and Roger is a MP kill waiting to happen, Sophia's and Adray's low defense is going to cause alot of deaths. I don't have an opinion on Mirage, she's basically a clone of Cliff and Maria... My favorites go to Nel, Fayt and Peppita. |
