I loved Soul Calibur 2. I love you Soul Calibur 2. Three really didn't impress, and I wasn't a big fan of four. So I sure hope they go back to being more how it was way back when since 5 has been announced now. Also I was a real beast with Talim, I'm generally pretty pants at beat 'em ups, but for some reason me and Talim just go hand-in-hand, skipping into the sunset. I hope she will remember me and we can re-form our bond. There was something almost quirky about the second one that seemed to get lost in the later titles. So I'm hoping, praying that the next one will be as good as the old games. Who would you like to see as a guest? Heihachi Mishima was in the second one which helped make it my favourite. I see a lot of people wanting Dante and Kratos, but Kratos is already done in MK and Dante is a tit. Soul Calibur 2 was so well polished and I remember enjoying the extra modes which are usually, well..not enjoyable. Please let them pull it off again. PLEASE. Dev says "Hopefully I will be able to announce something mid May." These seem like exciting times for fighting games, suddenly we see a lot of them and they appears to be a genre evolving. I was impressed by how accessible they managed to make Marvel 3 and the challenge mode is a step up from the usual, so I hope they take a look at that. Seem to remember Soul Calibur lacking a challenge mode. Share your love, or curiosity for Soul Calibur! Do we have other fans here? |

Surprised there wasn't already a thread about SC ![]() I do enjoy it! Its focus on weapons and the more fantasy-type setting provides a nice complement and point of difference to the Tekken series. I use Maxi, myself. Soul Calibur 2 was my first and I did like it, though I haven't played it for a while. And I actually quite liked SC3. I thought it was much more polished than the second one (SC2 didn't even have music if I recall correctly ). It had music, more characters and it expanded the gameplay a lot. I have yet to play SC4, though.

SC2 had the best music (imo), I loved the unusual style. xD I love games that let you play back all the voices and extra stuff like that, they should do that for all fighters. SC4 felt realy lacking to me, I'm glad I never brought it. Yay, I'm glad the series got fans here. If we both get 5 we should battle it out sometime. :3 I'll link some of the SC2 music, starting with talim's theme just becuase it belongs to her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REFNALTbWbU&feature=related I really like this theme, really good for a beat 'em up theme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvZyfYjuLdU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8JbYc0_LI8&feature=related There isn't one bit of dull music in SCII. <3 |

I liked SC3's story mode. I loved the traveling system for battles, honestly, I preferred it over the battle system, because I'm not one for fighters. Although Soul Caliber is my exception, I love them to pieces, I really like playing as Yun Seong, fast attacks and kicks to keep hitting at my opponent >:3 |

Easy wins have never been my style

I played one of them before and didn't know a whole lot about it, I know I used Nightmare a lot just slashing people like crazy. ...I always preferred Tekken over it though. |

-high five- Yeah, my brother got SC2 years ago, and we played it religiously, of course, at the time we only knew Link, so that's who we played as, but eventually I branched off into Yun Seong! |

Do you think you might get Soul Calibur V? I'm not sure myself, but I'll probably get it, got a feeling it'll be better than 3 and 4. Just a gut feeling. |

Me hopes you gets it. I hopes we all gets i ... *sniff* *sniff* it's so beautiful! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dGU1d-cmtuQ#at=107 I wish I didn't get my smexy tourney stick, suddenly. My main problem with arcade sticks is I have an annoying tendency to hit up rather than left/right during combos, ruining the combo. Go figure. Edited by Gumdrop, Apr 28 2011, 01:41 AM.
