Wow, what a bulky intro. You certainly have more RPG experience than me. I agree with you that Valkyrie Profile is hard, very hard. I'm always stuck on the second boss of the game. Anyways, welcome Alexeon, this place should give you plenty of info. on the latest SO releases. Enjoy.

Welcome to SOU Alexeon. You are certainly not the first person I've notice that believes that the Valkyrie Profile games are difficult. I found 'em tough at first, but they just require a little more persistance and I found a way on top of them eventually and finished them on harder difficulties.  And I really look forward to SO4 as well, what I've seen so far looks awesome. See you around! |

I didn't notice this before, sorry. My real and is Rosalyn, I'm 22 and I live in England. I've been a member of a fair few forums and an admin of one or two but I went away from the net for a while and now I'm back looking for new forums to invade :p I picked this place because I wanted a forum that wasn't busy or was new so I could get to know the other members and I wanted it to be a video games forum of sorts, preferably an RPG forum of sorts that hopefully wasn't a Final Fantasy one because most the ones I joined in the past were FF ones. My interests? Mostly gaming these days but also art and web design (although I'm a little out of practice with both :(). Anyhoo, I hope I found my home. Heya all

Welcome, I can see already you like Star Ocean & Suikoden, so I reckon you'll fit in here just fine. One thing though, can you make your signature a little smaller, or at least not as wide? It's just stretching the page a bit in it's current form, nice sig though! |

hello everyone my name is todd or otherwise known as duffy on a few gaming forums..i'm not a rpg expert in anyway but i have finished my fair share of them and am actully close to finishing star ocean tteot and as soon as i get a 360 i'll get the new star ocean... there isnt a whole lot to say about me other then i'm a hardcore gamer and a total rpg and mmorpg nerd..(world of warcraft is my lover) i live out in california out here in riverside where it SUCKS big time..i'm 28 years old and pretty much keep to myself and work and game or talk to my girly on the cell phone..i have a myspace that i use so if anyone is on it let me know and i'll give u my name on there.. not sure what else to say right now so if anyone wants to knwo anything feel free to hit me up and throw me a message glad to be here |

Welcome to SOU Todd! I never caught the WoW bug, I did love WCIII & Starcraft though, both are excellent RTS games. This is not the most active place in the world, but the bunch of us here love our RPGs etc, so you should fit in just nicely. Good luck finishing TTEOT as well, if you got any questions I'm sure there are a few here that could help out (just as well on Gfaqs but you know. :P) |

thank you and actully wow is good you should give it a shot if u get a chance...its cool that the forum isnt active big time i have to come to the libary for net access and one of the gaming forums i use that is a huge forum..well the star ocean one is dead so cant post in that..i am hoping to finish tteot tonight and start a univerise file and still work on my first file..in fact if i finish tteot it will be the first star ocean i have beaten so yay for me |

Oh awesome, hope you can finish it then. And if you REALLY loved it and have a PSP the remakes coming soon might also interest you. ^^ I wouldn't mind trying WoW, but I don't have as much free time as I used to, plus my internet connection is not the best in the world so it's unlikely. I'll just stick to my RPGs on 360/PSP etc most likely.

Greets. Huge Star Ocean fan here. It is my favourite series of all time. My favourite character is Shigeo/Jophiel from Star Ocean: The Second Story/Second Evolution. You may call me Decus, Cubia, Vexen, or one of my millions of other nicknames, or make up a new one (could always use more). I am a game developer and president/founder of independent game dev team, EkIchi. Currently working on a fan game to the Star Ocean series as our majour pilot game to get some experience and shove our name out there. While I'm not making games I am playing them, singing with my band, creating art or musick, writing, or any other creative activity. I love to work and create things. My favourite genres of games are roleplaying and survival horror or simulators. I am a person who prefers game depth and character development to graphix, so you could say I am 'hard-core'. I have been researching the workings of roleplaying games since the age of about 7 or 8, and my life goal is to take the newly created EkIchi and become a profiting game development and publishing company. My favourite colours are eggplant purple and black, my favourite food is cheeseburger hamburger helper (I love meats and cheeses), and I am a fan of horror and sci-fi flicks. I like to work out daily if possible, or if not daily, every other day in my spare time. My dislikes are Final Fantasy, sweets and soda, and shallow people. Hey Decus, I like the ambitious tone you've got attached with you there. Your dislikes are Final Fantasy...LMAO! God you remind me of a good online friend I used to have called StarGGundam2, sadly we failed at making a site together and I don't talk to him much anymore. But he too had an unbelievable passion for the Star Ocean series, Second Evolution in particular and...hated Final Fantasy. Mind you, I'm not a massive Final Fantasy fan either, I've been known to bash it from time to time, it is a really good RPG series, but the fact it's fame and fanbase far exceeds any other RPG series is what makes me sick. I cringe when so many self confessed "RPG gamers" haven't played a game that is not Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, they aren't bad games, but for f*cks sake there are way more out there, and better ones at that! Anyway, I hope to see you around! |
