I've been making graphics for a few months now, hardly an expert but I'm still learning some new things and improving over time. Feel free to comment or provide some advice Older Signatures Cartoon Warriors Suikoden Heroes The Greil Mercenary Leader Kessen II's Diao Chan Sakon Shima More Recent Signatures Valkyrie (Soaring the heavens looking for her next task...)  Yuna (As the Gunner from FFX-2)  Nightmare (I really like the text type in this one...might use it again!)  Sexy Sheena (Big focus on the image, faded in towards her eyes.  Rufus (Fated archer of Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria)  Kratos teh awesome! (First time I've looked at C4D in fact)  Dinn (One of Suikoden V's best, focus on his sword)  Katsuie (One of the best additions in SW2XL)  Nene (She is gorgeous!) Awesome stuff!! I like the Suikoden one, the Cliff one and Sakon v2. Ah, it's nice to be able to comment on sigs without having to write an essay about them.

lol yeah, i know kas is doing it for a good reason, but it can get a bit to much, having to make a big speech for every new sig  i love all this stuff, really good, and dont say its amateur, theyre actually quite advanced

Thanks guys, although I don't think I'm as good as you lot. Here is one I just made, after making some of those small images for the site I just got an urge to make a signature, big with a major focus on the stock. And who better to do it with then sexy Sheena! |

Alright, first here is a Kratos sig I did as a request, but I love Kratos in ToS! Re-attempt using a C4D (for the first time after speaking to an old online friend Mandy about them) That improve it? To me it feels like it gives it that little extra depth I've being wanting for a while, I'm going to have to look at C4D more I think! Also, smaller version of my Rufus sig for KW etc.

Wow dude, you're great. I love the Shima Sakon and Kessen III Oda Nobunaga siggies. I can't find my Photoshop elements CD. Maybe I'll get GIMP or something too. I heard it was about the same, and much cheaper, anyways. Edited by Slick, Feb 10 2008, 01:32 AM.

I've seen GIMP users pump out graphics much better then what I can before as well, while many believe Photoshop is the greatest I'm not convinced. I think GIMP can do anything Photoshop can, plus it's legally free to download which is a bonus. Thanks for the comments Slick. ^_^ @ Roger: I know so much to learn with graphics OMG, I'll never know what every feature does on GIMP. xp |

The difference between Gimp and PS is that Gimp you have to work harder to get the same result with PS, also filters (Which with Gimp 2.4 you can now have some stuff from PS), and layer modes.
No worries, I'll help you. First C4D signature is pretty good. Add some at the bottom of the focal and you'll get some depth in your signatures. You've improved a lot. |

The second one is nice. Maybe darken the lighter parts some, curves works good. Maybe some more effects in the first, but it's good. Last is a nice simple one, works really well. Try to bring your focal out some, use sharpen on it. It'll add a nice thing to your pieces. |

Sadly, those images are sharpened quite a bit actually, I think it's just due to not having a original image of high enough quality, either that or they get killed when I resize them. I guess I should take a bit more notice of the original images first to resolve that one. And more effects in the first? Lol, I rarely like to use that many as it is, I like to keep 'em more simple like the Dinn one.

You could allow some of that fractal to go over the focal (like the bottom half) so it'll blend him some, mostly what I meant without saying that (my bad). |

Ahh I see what you mean, yeah that makes alot of sense. I shouldn't erase as much of the overlay on the bottom of the body, I'll keep that in mind for my next one. I was kinda wondering how some make their images blend so much better, but didn't come to me when I made it lol. Edit: SOTW entry on KW, I liked the render but had to resize it down a bit, then it didn't work out as well as I originally liked as a result, oh well.  Newest sig, the lovely Alicia from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. <3

Always in top shape when it comes to text, I really need to work on that. The fractal(yes?) matches the sig. in sync, it's almost like they're part of the original image itself. You've improved a great deal in just few sigs. Super achievement, keep it up

Yeah that's a fractal, Gimp can make some but not like the program most people use to make them. Focal looks much better compared to the last couple (on both of the new ones). The Alicia one is a little bit grainy in the face. I like the Selective Gaussian Blur filter on Gimp (Filters> Blur> Selective Gaussian Blur) with the settings of 5;15, makes the face look smooth. You may want to work on flow and colors (more then one, contrasting colors work well, or using a Purple-Orange gradient map on Hard light and play with the opacity is great). The last one has some good flow, I'd erase the top left area so the fractal gives off flow along with her head. Keep it up! Oh, text is pimp! |
