Inventors Recruitment & Information Guide Once you register with the “Craftsman’s Guild” at Peterny you will be able to enter a new world of item creation and modification. Refer below for information about all the inventors in the game; firstly here is some information that will make understanding the guide easier. Talent Level: This must exceed the “Rating” level of a desired item to create in order to be of possible success. Generally those items with higher ratings are higher quality items, and will be impossible to create with those with Talent levels lower then the item they are trying to make. You can however add talent levels together to create an item but adding 2 or 3 inventors to a particular line. As well as boost their talent levels via Invention Help Items (Guide to come) Time: Refers to the standard time to create/modify an item, 0% is standard. A negative value means they will make it an item at that percentage quicker then average, a positive value means it will take that percentage longer then average. Cost: Details what may affect the base cost of an item. 0% will mean the base cost is as is. A negative value means that particular inventor will be able to create the item at the nominated percentage cheaper then the base cost. A positive vale means they will create the item at that percentage more expensive then the base item cost. Playable Character Inventors All 10 of the playable characters in the game can also invent items, they can invent everything, while as expected with such an all round ability they will not exceed the best signable inventors. However they also have the invaluable ability to Synthesize weapons, something no recruitable inventor can do. This guide is purely about the playable characters inventing talent. Out of curiosity here is what each of the talent levels total per character, in order of lowest value to highest. 100 – Adray 106 – Roger 114 – Cliff 115 – Peppita 124 – Albel 129 – Nel 137 – Maria 176 – Sophia 180 – Fayt 187 – Mirage Well how about that, Mirage is clearly the best inventor, she also have -5% in both time & cost as well, just outstanding! Then Adray is not only just the lowest overall ranked Inventor, he is also the most expensive, how can he justify that? A little extra speed doesn’t cut it, so I wouldn’t invent with him much, if at all. This also shows no major difference between the four optional characters (Nel, Albel, Peppita and Roger). So I wouldn’t make a big deal of these differences when deciding who of the 4 make the best 2 for your final party. Finally, worth of noting is that Maria has the lowest item cost, making her the best candidate for Synthesis. Considering it works 100% of the time you may as well save some Fol while you do it. Signable Inventors Note: you cannot recruit any of these inventors until they have registered with the Craftsman’s Guild. This will occur periodically as the story progresses after registering with the Craftsman’s Guild at Peterny. All inventors will register with the guild before reaching the games ‘standard’ final boss. There are 28 recruitable inventors in total (well 29 if you count Aqua & Evia as 2). They are listed in alphabetical order to aid for searching whichever inventor you require information for.
