Battle Trophies Battle Trophies are a great supporting task to achieve during the game, and can continually be attempted and worked on during subsequent replays. First things first, a Battle Trophy file is independent to you game save file, it’s not mandatory, but aides greatly in gaining more rewards and sense of completion out of the game. It takes around 1,200kb of your memory card (not a small file I know). And is also very unique in that it cannot be transferred from one memory card to another, to prevent getting free battle trophies I guess. How do I setup a Battle Trophy file? Simply start a new game (any difficulty except Earth), and create a Battle Trophy file once you reach the Battle Simulator very early in the game. How do I start Collecting Battle Trophies from a previous file? When you begin the game (on any difficulty except Earth), you will be prompted about whether you wish to continue collecting Battle Trophies, do so. Then shortly after in the game you will come across a Battle Simulator, here you must upload the battle trophy file again. From here you will have access to your prior Battle Trophy file to further build your collection. From here on you will at times have battle trophy awards show up in battle, at the end of the battle you will have the opportunity to save them to your battle trophy file, should you do so you won't have to get that particular battle trophy again. So what’s the rewards?: As you obtain more battle trophies you will be able to witness them in your Battle Trophy option on the start up menu. Then depending on your % of battle trophies obtained you will active the following rewards. 15% - 2P costume option 25% - Universe mode 40% - 3P costume option 55% - Music Test 65% - 4D mode 80% - 4P costume option 95% - Full-active mode Alternate costumes can change the characters full attire for the duration of the game, until you change it again. Music Test can be activated via the Battle Trophy menu, to play the great music of the game. Universe & 4D mode are subsequent harder difficulties to play the game, enemies are stronger and battle conditions are slightly changed. Such as the enemy has greater ability to defend attacks. Finally, full active mode is where you can apparently rid of the automatic positioning of character battle skills, giving full ‘free’ movement. I’ve not seen it myself however. Collection tips by set Battle Trophies 1 to 5 – “X” Battles Well, this is rather self explanatory; the battle count on your menu screen must exceed the amount here for the BT’s. If you replay the game numerous times you may reach 10,000, but you’ll never reach 50,000 via regular plays, well not unless you have less of a life them me! Here a turbo pad can come in handy, just have it repress itself numerous times at the Battle Arena in Gemity, leave it overnight if you trust the PS2 not to overheat, and you’ll have several battles under your belt. Just make sure Fayt is strong to win these battles with one hit. Battle Trophies 6 to 8 – Simultaneously Defeat “x” Enemies These three are pretty easy to get, just wait until later in the game until either a Cliff or Mirage has a very high attack. Go to the Mountains of Barr and get in a fight with 4 porcupines; walk around until they are grouped then attack with Hammer of Might. Just be sure set it to a major skill to eliminate the possibility of the attack being AAA’d. Battle Trophies 9 to 16 – “x” Hits During regular play you will knock a few of these off without even trying, however achieving the 300 hits is not as simple. Here you want to use attacks that will not knock the enemy down; so the chain can continue, and preferably not be that powerful of an attack; so you don’t kill them mid way through. I found this easiest to achieve by chaining Thunder Flares set on both long range slots for Sophia with Berserk on and simply chain away. Have Adray & Fayt in support using Explosions, in-between their casting pause Sophia’s chaining to restore her fury, and then repeat. Picking a powerful slow moving enemy is preferable. Battle Trophies 17 to 21 – Defeat Enemies of “x” Types There is no major science to this one, just try ensure you investigate every area available in the game, and defeat at least one of every enemy. Getting 420 would just about be impossible, as for example the different character Fayt pairs with in the Urssa Lava Temple all count as one each…that’s a hell of a lot of replays. I’d advise to write off the possibility of getting the 420; you need only 95% for the final reward after all. Battle Trophies 22 to 28 – Chain of “x” Here you must hold a Battle Bonus gauge over the period of up to 500 consecutive battles, another pretty much insane target under normal circumstances. Using the Fayt trick at Gemity is the best way; just arrive there with a Battle Bonus gauge, and give Fayt the power to win with one hit. Battle Trophies 29 – Defeat Enemy with a Single Blow One of the easiest in the game, just find an enemy you overpower by going to an old area once your rather strong, kill the enemy in one hit and it’s over just like that. Battle Trophies 30-31 – Defeat with Exact Damage (with a Single Blow) Here you must defeat the enemy with a hit equal to there max health, you might get lucky – otherwise just use a stun bomb. On Galaxy mode the Security officers on level 1 of Sphere Company have exactly 600 MP – the same amount of damage a Stun Bomb MP deals. Battle Trophies 32-37 – Defeat “x” Enemies Same as “Battle Trophies 1 to 5 – “X” Battles”; just means total enemies not total enemies defeated, not fights won. Battle Trophies 38-40 – Defeat Finish Battle in Under “x” Seconds Once you are levelled up well, just return to an easy area like Vanguard III, you will get this very easily then. Battle Trophies 41-42 – Escape “x” times To escape up to 100 times in the game is very easy to get, these particular ones don’t even need to be consecutive; you’ll get them before long no doubt. Battle Trophies 43-44 – Incapacitated “x” Times Same as above, they don’t need to be consecutive, being incapacitated up to 100 times (un)fortunately doesn’t take long particularly on Universe/4D. Battle Trophies 45-46 – Win by “x”All Sounds just too hard, I haven’t even tried to get these two. Battle Trophies 47-51 – Win by a Margin of “x” HP This is not as bad as it looks, there is an item in the game called the “Demon Stone” you can get this via sleeping at the Inn when you have Santa’s Grab Bag; this will periodically reduce your HP by 1. Kill off your 2 allies and get into battle until your HP is very low. Save the game and one by one finish off a very easy enemy when your HP is at the desired amount. Battle Trophies 52-54 – “x” Button Presses Another you do without really thinking, over several plays you may reach the 100,000 button presses, but the 1,000,000 is next to impossible under normal circumstances. This is yet another that could be achieved quite easily with Turbo Pad. Battle Trophies 55-58 – “x” Killing Blows Just defeat up to 1,000 enemies, this will happen eventually should you replay the game. Battle Trophies 59-62 – Reach Level “x” Just eventually make your way to level 255 and the BT is yours, you need only do this with one character, so late in the game to make it easier you could mass train by doing solo battles to speed it up, if your good enough of course! Battle Trophies 63-66 – Guard Broken “x” Times Another in the effortless category really, should you play the game several times you will get the 1,000 soon enough. Just every time you get his by a major attack while having 100% fury counts as a break. Battle Trophies 67-70 – Angered “x” Times Every time one of your allied characters die there is a chance the character your using will be angered by it, Private Actions will probably make angered state more or less likely. Either way, this is really another that will happen eventually; particularly when trying 4D and Universe where your characters will fall regularly. Battle Trophies 71-74 – Maximum Damage of “x” Getting one hit to make 99,999 damage isn’t that difficult to do at all. During post game events when your level is rising, just have a strong attack weapon equipped and can a cancel bonus into action. Pretty simple stuff, you will likely get this without even really trying during post game battles. Battle Trophy 75 – Win with No Damage Just win a battle where the character you control does not take any damage, very easy to achieve. Battle Trophies 76-78 – Cancel Bonus “x” Times Getting the 3,000 will likely take more then one playthrough; regular use of Maria is a great candidate if you want to rush it. Linking Aiming Devices to both of her long range slots is effective for most battles. Battle Trophies 76-126 – Defeat “x” Within 1 Minute & Without Taking Damage These are a series of the more important boss battles during the game which will provide a good 16% of your Battle Trophies. Rather then detailing each boss individually I’ll list typical strategies to use to achieve these conditions. Defeat “x” Within 1 Minute Follow these listed steps and you should be able to get all of the 1 minute battle trophies available: - Aim to get these all on Galaxy mode, as they are tougher to defeat on Universe/4D. - Ensure you have the best weapons and armour equipped available at that point in the game, either by shops or item creation. - Ensure you have some refined Might Tables with you when possible; these increase your attack by 40%. - Use the save the BT, but not the file trick to ensure you get this and the no damage battle trophy, and also to keep your items that you may use. - Do not use healing Symbology, if you need to heal use Ripe Berries etc; this will save you valuable time in battle. - Turn “Berserk” on for everyone; you will need the power and lower fury consumption to hit powerfully and regularly. - Use Cancel bonuses regularly, pick a character that you are comfortable performing cancel bonus’s with; and do it non stop. - Should you still struggle after the above get some more level ups for your character, also use any stat increasing berries you may have; and try again! Defeat “x” Without Taking Damage Follow these listed steps and you should be able to get all of the no damage trophies available: - Aim to get these all on Galaxy mode, as they are tougher to defeat on Universe/4D. - Ensure you have the best weapons and armour equipped available at that point in the game, either by shops or item creation. - Note here that the character you are using cannot take any damage to win the battle, your allies can however take as much damage, KO’s as you like – as long as who you use it not hurt you will get the Battle Trophy - Use the save the BT, but not the file trick to ensure you get this and the no damage battle trophy, and also to keep your items that you may use. - Creating and buying Stun bombs when available can really make these battles easier; the second an enemy is potentially doing to hit you stun them. The more of these you have the better, particularly ones that cause MP damage; at times just constant MP bombing can be your best friend and the opponents worst enemy. - Ensure you have a large stock of Fresh Sage, Analeptics etc on hand, to keep your allies alive so they can win the battle for you while you stand back and watch. - Using a fast character such as Nel is recommended, to evade the enemy quickly and also have some basic support Symbology to help your allies - You may want to turn Berserk off for this battle, if you have enough DEF, high level/decent equipment and/or Protection it’s possible you will take no damage even when hit, because getting hit is not an issue if it does not cause any parameter damage. - You can of course try helping kill the enemy, but use only Symbology or Major Attacks which of course cannot be blocked via AAA – as they can of course potentially get you hit. - Should you still struggle after the above get some more level ups for your character, also use any stat increasing berries you may have; and try again! Battle Trophies 127-173 – Defeat “x” under “x” conditions. Here are a series of Battle Trophies you must collect against the main bosses in the game; whom are Luther, Gabriel, Lenneth, Ethereal Queen and Freya. They key to gaining all the said Battle Trophies against these powerful opponents falls down heavily to preparation. Here are a number of areas to work on including the information in the above section to hopefully improve your chances of gaining them tenfold! 1) You can re-battle Luther, Gabriel & Freya as many times as you wish. 2) Remember the “Save the BT file, but not the game file” tactic to preserve any excess item usage and to re-attempt any of them with a recent save file, and to avoid having to fight some again only on a completely new playthrough. 3) Ensure all your characters you wish to use in battle have maxed their HP/MP bonuses with your cumulative SP from level ups. 4) Try level your characters up as much as possible (Refined Ring of Eruditions can boost exp acquisition), while one single level up does next to nothing, 10-20 levels do make a significant difference; and also help you gain Fol while you farm exp as well of course! 5) Pick your characters carefully, your favourite character may not necessarily be the best for every fight; try a few different combinations if necessary (although I would personally advise using either Fayt or Maria as your character of choice, Fayt to absorb damage with his quality DEF or Maria to deal out tonnes of damage with high ATK and quality range attacks) 6) It’s best to try each condition separately, such as no damage in one attempt with Berserk off (To preserve DEF), then the time limit condition with Berserk on (to boost ATK & reduce Fury consumption). 7) You will have all item creation options before each of these tough opponents (Puffy been the only exception prior the Luther battle for the first time, on repeat attempts later in the game you will potentially have all available) 8) Ultimate weapons =/= best weapons. In fact you’re perhaps better off in some cases with the next best line of weaponry (such as the Veinslay), these also benefit from been fully replaceable and have no synthesis slots used without you choosing what you want. 9) The item creations of best value for these opponents are many Boots of Prowess, Stun Bombs and a refined Blazing Pendant to absorb at least Earth & Lightning damage via HP conversion for both Lenneth & Freya. (MP conversion will not make you immune to the attacks!) Then of course whichever other items/accessories you are fond of to top up your inventory. 10) Remember these are the toughest bosses in the game, don’t fret if you lose…even numerous times, and just try again utilising as many of the above steps as you can. Good luck! Battle Trophy 130 (Exception) – Defeat Luther at Lv 1 While this sounds completely absurd it’s not as hard as it looks, to complete that is. Preparing for it however is a major pain in the ass and one I’d suggest leaving out as you need only 95% BT’s for the final reward. However, if you wanted to achieve this you must keep the only three level 1 characters in the game at level one until you finally wish to attempt this (which will be post game more then likely). Those characters are Fayt, Sophia & Peppita. For Sophia & Peppita it’s pretty simple, allow Peppita to join when she wishes to and never use her or Sophia in Battle. As for Fayt, he will have to fight the thugs just before Norton’s hideout; here you have to allow them to flee rather then defeating them. To achieve this you will have to weaken them but not kill them, then after that in the Norton battle Fayt must get defeated leaving Cliff to win on his own. From that point on you can remove Fayt from the party. Now, without those three characters you need to finish the game and never use them; thereafter add numerous attack bonuses to a powerful weapon, and take some stun bombs with you. Stun Luther, use a major skill with a massive attack rating, flee, stun bomb…repeat. It won’t be that hard if you synthesize your weapon highly. It just will take at least 50 hours to be able to do it while not using some of your characters. If you ask me 50 hours for one BT and to lose at least one character is not worth it, but hey it’s one for perfectionists I guess. Battle Trophies 174-175 – Taunt “x” 10 times This is pretty easy to do, taunt Gabriel & Ethereal Queen 10 or more times in those respective battles. After you have performed the taunts just win, and it’s done! Clearly it would be preferable to try these when you’re rather powerful to make the winning side of things easier. Battle Trophies 176-180 – Mighty Vox Series Mighty Vox is a returned version of Vox who you will encounter on level 6 of the Maze of Tribulations. These are also very easy to achieve, in fact you could probably get all of them without even trying. Just early in the battle ensure you meet the Guard and AAA conditions; after that the rest is history by simply winning the battle. He isn’t too hard to defeat either, nice to get 5 battle trophies for nearly nothing! Battle Trophies 181-183 – Total of “x” Hours in Battle Another one which is rather easy to achieve, you will surely reach the 5 hour condition on one full playthrough. The next two however will require multiple play throughs. If you’re hardcore about chasing the remaining BT’s these will be yours…eventually! Battle Trophies 184-196 – Defeat “x” using only “x” attacks Here are a series of battles which you must win using only one type of attack; I’ve learnt that the golden number is 50+. Meaning you must you only that form of attack at least 50 times successfully and nothing else in order to reach the BT. TO make the battle a little easier it’s advised to set all your characters on manual to achieve it, after you are certain you have reached the condition you can let your allies off manual to help you win; just ensure the character you used to achieve the 50+ hits does not use any other style attack before it’s over (excluding items). Also note that Charge is counted as an independent skill, and will not be included as a Battle Skill for those particular conditions. Battle Trophies 196-199 – Win using items only, defeat Albel with items only These are pretty easy as well, just require some setting up and powerful stun bombs; preferably the MP variety. Just use MP stun bomb after MP stun bomb until you win; ensure you have a stockpile of them before the battle and you won’t have any problems at all. Albel 1 (2,600MP) = Facing him just after collecting the Copper Ore Albel 2 (10,000MP) = Fight him at Crossel’s lair just before going to the Sphere company. (Cannot have recruited him via the Peterny scene and rescue at the Kirlsa Training Facility) Albel 3 (60,000MP) = Fight him after going to sphere, but before obtaining the Sacred Orb. (Cannot have recruited him at Albel 2, or via the Peterny scene) *Note those MP values are based on playing Galaxy mode, they are 150% of that value for Universe, and around double that for 4D mode…it’s better off attempting these on Galaxy mode to reduce bomb creation and battle time. Battle Trophies 200-211 – Defeat “x” using only “x” Why this series does not start straight after 196 seems a little odd…but nevertheless let’s move on. Similar to the series 184-196 you again must achieve a minimum of 50 of the nominated skills and win the battle while using nothing else (other then items) Battle Trophies 212-217 – Win alone/Defeat “x” alone If you are able to achieve conditions such as “Defeat Lenneth with no Damage” you will then find these very easy to achieve. My preferred character option for these conditions is Fayt. As he has a high standard defence, add that with 10 x Boots of Prowess (8 synthesized into a Veinslay) you should have adequate defence to win these easily; and gain no damage conditions at the same time. Of course ensure you take in two defeated opponents with you into the battle and at no stage revive them. Usage of any DEF+ berries you may have and the Protection Symbol can also help eliminate any damage taken if required. Oh, also try stick with Major Battle skills to ensure you don’t get AAA’d, the more damage you can deliver = the more damage getting AAA’d will hurt you! Battle Trophies 218-222 – Metal Pipe Series The one thing to note here is the Norton to defeat is the Norton on level 101 of Sphere 211. Otherwise just refine the daylights out of your metal pipe with an Imposing Scroll and a heap of Boots of Prowess, or a complete set of Boots of Prowess. Having a high level and usage of Cancel attacks will be required to achieve the 99,999 damage condition, on top of a highly synthesized Metal Pipe of course. Battle Trophy 223 – Complete Win over Luther All that is required here is to defeat Luther without the aide of Armor or Accessories, which is ridiculously easy when you will have already made uber varieties of the Veinslay for other conditions. Simply use your strongest character with the best Synthesis weapon and defeat him in no time, just make sure you try this alone with defeated allies. Battle Trophy 224 – Avoid Fire Bolt This is unbelievably easy to achieve, get into a battle with opponents in the Urssa Lava Cave for example and hug the walls when your about to get hit or just move around a lot, they will miss eventually and it will be yours. Battle Trophies 225-226 – Defeat “x” Scumbag These are those thieves like enemies that love to fight…and run away when nearly defeated which under normal circumstances make them difficult to defeat. Mecha Scumbags are found on the 2nd floor of the Maze of Tribulations, while the Lv99 Thieving Scumbag is found on the 152-161 series of floors in Sphere 211. With usage of the “Scumbag Slayer” weapon these battles are suddenly much easier as they have a % chance of instant kill (not sure exactly, but after a few hits it should be over). You can get this by winning a Rank B Team battle at the Gemity battle arena. Battle Trophies 227-228 – Encounter/Defeat Sootie Sootie is this rather powerful…yet incredibly small opponent which you will encounter on the 7th floor of the Maze of Tribulations. Clearly simply getting into a battle with this creature is an instant BT; although winning is a different story. For starters he is rather strong, and secondly like Scumbags it will try to flee when nearly defeated – and you don’t have an instant kill option this time either! Just use a very offensive strategy and you should come through this without too many difficulties. Battle Trophies 229-232 –Remain With Fury “x” Consecutive Times These series of BT’s can be rather tricky, particularly the 10 & 15 time variety. Occasionally when you are on 1HP and get hit a “FURY” notification will come up and you will survive death; for this series it needs to happen time and time again in one battle – which essentially requires a hell of a lot of luck to achieve. You can boost your chances by refining a “Survive on Fury 50%” factor from an Orichalcum into any weapon of your choosing. From this point get into battle with an enemy which spasm wide area style attacks and hope luck is in your side…or just ignore it and hope you get at least the 5 x one in normal battles. It’s another which I wouldn’t recommend attempting unless you have extreme patience…remember you need only 95% right? Battle Trophies 233-236 – Recover “x” HP/77,777HP Remaining Here you need to restore an exact amount of 777, 7,777 & 77,777 HP via a restorative item/spell. If you play the game enough you will probably eventually come across these conditions. Alternatively you will have to try manipulate your max HP values with usage of items such as Lunar Talismans, level ups etc to allow an exact amount to equate to various healing berries etc. The 77,777HP remaining condition is however much easier; once you finally get a character above this amount simply abuse the Demon Stone which reduces your HP by intervals of 1 when your just over this amount and it will be yours. Battle Trophies 237-244 – Recover “x” Damage Here are a series of BT’s which require an exact amount of damage. Short of driving yourself insane attempting to satisfy these conditions you will likely stumble across these values if you get into enough battles. However by abusing the Rabbit Ears Chalice with a Demon Stone is an option worth considering if you want to get these values exactly and not rely on them coming up eventually; with the exception of the 77,777HP one of course; this one is solely based on luck. Just find some opponent you generate close to this damage amount per hit and keep trying until you get it. Battle Trophies 245-246 – Get “x” Lucky Stars This one isn’t that hard to achieve, simply equip one of your characters with the Lucky Star ability and get yourself into a battle with an opponent that delivers very minimal damage and performs tonnes of hits in the process. Here sooner or later Lucky Stars will drop and be caught by your characters. Of course ensure they are set on manual and grouped together to boost your chances of catching them. You could simply leave the game on and walk away for an hour or so and should have it after it. Or better yet attempt the 2 hour in battle condition at the same time! Battle Trophies 247-249 – Win “x” Consecutive Times Taking No Damage These are incredibly easy to achieve…providing you have the patience to do it. I would advise returning to the Ruins of Coffor – where Norton was first met. And enter battle after battle with powerful characters and you will win fast, and take no damage in the process. It would be advisable to do this with two defeated opponents to combine the condition just below. Battle Trophies 250-252 – “x” Consecutive Battles Alone Exactly the same as winning consecutive battles, just do it alone somewhere to get very easy wins. Doing them at the same time is definitely a good idea as it takes several hours and there is no way I’d want to attempt it twice! Battle Trophies 253-254 – Avoid Fire Bolt “x” Consecutive Times Similar to avoiding a Fire Bolt once again find the fire opponents in the Urssa Lava Cave which fire two at the same time. Hug the wall as the two bolts go wide and wrap around to hit you on return; hitting the wall will clearly prevent this. You might want to keep an eye on the game though and move slightly depending on where the opponent goes; it also heaps to have defeated allies so the enemy won’t waste time trying to attack them as well. Battle Trophies 255-256 – “x” Consecutive Killing Blows Here you just need to achieve countless instant killing blows to your opponent; and should they be very weak just like with the 247-252 series this is also one you should combine with them. Although going all the way to 1,000 might take a life time; you may wish to settle with 500+ and simply write off the final BT in this series… Battle Trophies 257-259 – Level up “x” Consecutive Times Here you simply need to mass level one of your characters, it would be advised to use either Peppita or Sophia for this, as they join later in the game and start at level 1 without you needing to help the matter like with the Lv 1 Fayt condition. Simply hold onto them until much later in the game and introduce them into a battle which a high exp reward, having them in battle with just one powerful opponent will also reduce the exp share making this possible earlier. Battle Trophies 260-264 – “x” Successful guards These Battle Trophies can be really annoying, basically you have to get hit countless times with no damage, nor be attacked with a major meaning your guard gets broken. Obviously attempt this only when you have a high defence, then get yourself into a battle with a weak enemy that has high hit attacks. Leave yourself in battle and hope that you will get enough consecutively…it may take a lifetime, or maybe half an hour. Either that or just take what you get in regular plays… Battle Trophies 265-267 – “x” 5 Consecutive times These are actually pretty easy in the sense that you can save each one individually. Get ambushed once, save and try again for another, repeat until you get five of each and claim the battle trophies. It takes a little persistence but very possible with devotion! Battle Trophy 268 – Item received 10 Consecutive times This is very easy to achieve, I achieved this by not recruiting Albel and fighting him and defeating him 10 times in a row in his location nearby Crosell. What makes things even more worthwhile is the item he drops every time is Boots of Prowess! You get one of the best accessories (unrefined of course) and the BT at the same time; this is one of the best Battle Trophies in the game if you ask me! Battle Trophies 269-271 – “x” Consecutive Blows When chasing the Battle Trophies 257-262 etc, you should get this one automatically with it. Basically you just need to consecutively hit the enemy without getting hit yourself I guess. While going after the ones of similar nature this too will be yours. Battle Trophy 272 – 31 Consecutive Escapes Very easy to achieve, and you may well even do it without trying while playing on Universe or 4D, just roam a dungeon and run every time. Having accessories which boost Escape speed and attempting it on weaker enemies will speed up escape time. Battle Trophies 273-274 – No Damage “x” Times in a Row Just like with all the other consecutive wins in a row this will come with it, providing you are mass battling against weak enemies and are not getting AAA’ed you will be able to achieve the 50 in a row with all the others of similar nature, will take a few hours for all the related ones but there are many Battle Trophies obtainable from one hardcore easy battle burst, of course doing them alone ensures success for the alone conditions as well. Battle Trophies 275-276 – Defeat “x” 5 Times Here you need to defeat both Freya and Ethereal Queen on 5 separate occasions, at times these guys are tough enough to defeat only once let alone twice. The good thing of these super bosses unlike Lenneth if you can battle them multiple times in one play through, so at least you don’t have to fret about keeping a save file to defeat them each time. The stronger and better prepared you are the easier these battles of course will be, even though they will take a while regardless of your strength. Battle Trophies 277-293 – Defeat “x” under “x” Conditions Here we have a series of battle trophies which are obtainable only in the Urssa Lava Cave, and you can battle each of these only once, additionally who you fight depends on the two characters you do not have in your party. This small list shows you who is who: The Princess & the Knight = Nel Villian Pair = Albel Tiger-Striped Pair = Roger Daughter of the Beast Tamer = Peppita What this means is it will take you at least two play throughs to achieve all of them. Clearly select two characters in your first playthrough then the other two on your next. You’ll also likely need to use the “Save the BT” theory to get the Alone & no damage ones as they may be quite difficult to get all at once. Especially with the final Fayt combinations on floor 3, the battles with he and mysterious friend (I’ll let you find that out for yourself who it is) will be significantly tougher then he prior two battles on floors 1 & 2. It’s very possible to pass the first two levels and BT conditions before attempting Sphere 211, although you probably will need to make significant inroads on Sphere 211 to be ready for the Fayt battles, unless you think you’re good enough to try earlier! Battle Trophy 294 – Win Auto Battle One of the much easier ones to obtain, here you have to leave your allies to do absolutely everything to win one single battle. Clearly attempting this on weaker enemies will make it very simple, pick on some weaker guys once you have become quite strong, sit back and take the free BT at the end of it! Battle Trophy 295 – Hit with Battle Sphere 5 Times I swear this is a major pain in the ass, I’ve tried this several times and failed on each occasion, somehow you must manage to have the Battle Sphere hit something at least 5 times in the very short time it’s on the map. I have no strategy to pull this off, I’ve tried cornering it and god knows what. I’ll happily replace this section with another’s strategy they have written themselves (that does not include ripping someone’s from Gamefaq’s either…) Battle Trophies 296-297 – Fight Over “x” Minutes While this sounds daunting, particularly 120 minutes it’s actually not that hard at all to achieve. Once your party is quite powerful set all your characters to Manual with Anti-Attack Auras off and simply leave them in a very easy battle for over two hours. During this time go walk the dog or something, just make sure you don’t forget about the game and check back a little over two hours later to finish the battle and claim two more BT’s…just for leaving your PlayStation 2 on for a while! Battle Trophy 298 – Don’t get hit for over a minute Another very easy Battle Trophy to obtain, just find some poor slow enemy, have the allies on Manual so they don’t kill them for you…and run circles around them for just one minute. Battle Trophy 299 – Win Staying More Than 5 Meters from Enemy Another joke of a Battle Trophy you could say, either have your allies gain victory in an easy battle while you stand way back. Or even support them with Symbology while you wait, some Battle Trophies are easy at least! Battle Trophy 300 – Moved a Total distance of 42.195 km in Battle The grand finale of Battle Trophies is an anticlimax!!! Seriously, who in the hell come up with this one? Even when converting to miles it’s a little over 26, WHERE THE HELL IS THE LOGIC HERE! …Ahem. It’s a long guide and this one is just totally stupid. You will very likely achieve this about half way on a first playthrough just by fighting time and time again. Logic here makes no sense at all to me but it’s one of the easiest battle trophies to get, so I guess that’s a good thing at least! So that’s it, that’s my Battle Trophy guide, offering the full list, and some tips to help you in the right direction for many of them. I hope this allows you to boost your collections from 1% to 100%. Feel free to add to this topic any strategies of your own you wish to share, or ask more about any of these specific conditions. Hopefully we can help each other boost our Battle Trophy status. |
