So, when you go in a store (or online) to buy a game, do you generally look to buy new games or old games? Myself, personally, I always have to get the new games that haven't even had the wrapping off yet. It just feels more...well, new and satisfying. Even when the used game is like half the price, I still buy the game. Most of the time, it's because the new one has the manual and the used one doesn't. (But I've been known to throw away money for a new one that's just like the used but is...new.) Really, though, it's much more fun to have brand new stuff; it feels so smooth. ^_~ EDIT: Sorry, had to add the Baby Got Back reference. Couldn't resist. Edited by Quark, Jun 7 2010, 11:13 AM.

I will buy used, but DEF prefer new. I have even gotten into arguments with gamestore clerks (you know the ones lol) that argue when I pass on an open/used game. |

Easy wins have never been my style

To be honest it's quite a while since I've browsed a game shop, so it doesn't apply to me per se. A combination of limited gaming time and technology means I buy all my games now online. When I know there is a game I want I'll check a few stores, such as JB Hi Fi, Game & Ebay and buy off whoever has the best deal at the time. But to answer the original question, then yeah, I look to new stuff most of the time, that is what what I usually search when shopping online. Unless of course I miss the boat and the game becomes discontinued, then I'll hunt for a second hand copy. Just like I did with Suikoden Tierkreis. |

The last time I bought second hand games was Tekken 2 and Cool Boarders from a bargain bin and they sucked. They didn't even work, so we returned them for the $5 or whatever that we paid for them Then again, it was EB Games and we all know the E stands for 'Evil'.But yeah, I would prefer new because it just seems more...secure? lol. |

Ha, Evil Bastards Games. I have a tendency to have half my spirit ripped apart when I buy a used game, open it, and see a scratch. ._. |

I honestly don't care about the shape a game is as long as it works, unless I'm having a freak out over it... like my copy of FF XIII *cough* I bought it new... even missed the day of school to play it *cough cough* but yeah, since most games that are good are old, I tend to buy them second hand, from E(vil)B(astard) Games... |
