Hey guys, As you may have already noticed the previous shoutbox available on the site is currently shutdown. This is as a result of a lack of flexibility (such as post limits) and security (no username protection). I've just installed a new live chat program for members and guests to use, which you can find by clicking Chat in the sub-menu bar just below the forums banner. This is a more advanced chat system where you can register as a member of Chatango, include your own avatar, personal details, and more. The only issue there is that Chatango already have an abundance of members so your username at Star Ocean Universe may not be available. However, you can simply put "SOU" in front of your name, like I did and you should be able to bypass that easily. Note that becoming a member there is optional, you can still post there as a guest or anonymously, but if you want your identity protected, as well as to individualize your own profile then sign up. A topic will be available in the feedback section here to discuss your thoughts on the new application, and also to discuss any concerns you have with it. If all goes well it will be our new live chat system here at Star Ocean Universe. Thank you for your time. |

Update: The previous shoutbox which was temporarily shutdown has now been removed, regardless of whether chatango stays or not we won't be reverting to the previous shoutbox due to it's limitations. If you have not you provided feedback on the new chat system and wish to do so then please post your thoughts and concerns >>HERE<< |

The new chat session will now remain, thank you to everyone who provided feedback via the topic in Support, and also via discussions in the new channel. We've added a new image atop of the chat session as well, which will be alternated from time to time. If there are any future issues regarding channel please don't hesitate to report them to the staff and we'll try resolve them as quickly as possible. We hope you all enjoy the new and improved chat system. |

As an alternative I've also put the chat session up on the main site. If you would prefer to chat there instead then go for it, also in the rare event of the forum going down for maintenance etc you'll still have access to the channel that way as well. On the main site the Live Chat link in interaction now leads to the chat session on the main site. The Chat link on the forum still links to the one we have currently been using.
