Easy wins have never been my style

So far for me it's the best part of the game, I believe I've 'finished' what I have to do there, but despite having to move on with the story I've gone back there and have spend several hours finishing quests, getting into the Astral Caves, stopping Quicksand, the Coliseum etc. Of the places you can visit in the game, where do you enjoy spending the most time? Are you getting sidetracked doing extra stuff on Roak like I am? |

My favorite place in the game, huh? Well, I can tell you right now that I completely despise Nox Obscurus. The place was filled with traps, and there are too many interaction points. If you jump off a cliff, you have to find your way back to the top via one of those floating balls of slime. And the whole place is dark and hard to see, which might explain why Nox Obscurus means Indistinct Night in Latin. (No, I did not know that; it was a random tidbit I found online.) While I'm doing my complaining, I might as well say that the Cave of the Seven Stars is far too narrow. I mean, I actually have to time my dashes to avoid the enemies in there. And on floors six and seven, those Spriggans (the fat gorilla-like enemies) take up the whole space of a path! I had to either kill it or wait for it to turn a corner! It was one of the worse places ever. And now, we get to that ice covered field on Lemuris. I think it was the place with the entrance to Alanaire Citadel. Anyway, I tried to dash there, but once I did, Edge was running in place. And soon, the enemies were piling up on him. If I even accidentally press the dash button, I suddenly get chased by some monsters. It was truly annoying, I can grant you that. Oh, yes, I hated the Astral Desert! All the quicksand and stuff seemed to be really annoying. And how a Bunny can cross that without sinking is beyond my knowledge. But you can't argue with fantasy. I didn't like how before you have the Bunny Call skill, you had to go find a Bunny every time you wanted to go from Tropp to Tatroi. It took a long time, and the caves didn't help much in reducing the time. And the Cardianon Mothership was especially annoying! Everywhere you go, there are monsters just waiting to ambush you! I can't even get a moment of reprieve there. I hated that room with the lizard enemies the most, where you had to defrost it, and one of the dead ones in the middle had an ID Card. But my favorite planet, as of right now, is En II, because that's the only on that doesn't have a place I hate. The Sanctuary is very open and scenic, and the shops in Centropolis are great for item creation. Yup, En II is my favorite place now. But that might change. After all, I've yet to go to the Wandering Dungeon, which counts as being on En II. |

I haven't gotten very far at all. Just past that Citadel with the ice Fate mentioned. So far, I haven't really found a likeable area, yet. |
