Easy wins have never been my style

Oddly there is not yet a topic relating solely to this...madness! It also won the PSP RPG of the year in 2006 per the IGN awards! It was the first Valkyrie Profile I played (since the original never got released over here) and I loved it. It's certainly a far more unique style of RPG to most, fascinating plot, fast battles and a simple but effective way to navigate dungeons etc. Anyway, if you have played it post your thoughts on it here! |

I've played the game, and I loved it. However, I dislike the fact that it's turn based. I prefer real time action RPGs like Infinite Undiscovery a lot more, because you can control the battle more. Silmeria was better than Lenneth (games, not characters). But nevertheless, it's a wonderful game, really worth the money.

I agree in that I prefer real time action, although Lenneth at least provided visible enemies and some form of action by been able to time your attacks. (aka maul the enemy to death with 4 characters at once, heh heh). A great platform for what has become an excellent series, I really hope we see a genuine third title in the future, please tri-Ace! |

I can't decide which I like more: the ability to shoot crystals, or the ability to shoot photons. That was something... unique about the games. Even on the map, they provide challenges... with jumping. You had to make use of the crystals and the falling crystal shards that make you float in Lenneth, and in Silmeria, you had to freeze an enemy in stone to use them as a stepping stone. I have to say: that was really quite interesting, especially the puzzles in the Seraphic Gate in Silmeria. |
