It had to happen sometime!  I would say Cius. He's pretty cool even though he's a drunkard and almost a Roddick clone battle-wise  Welch and Ilia are tied for second place. I love a good scrag fight and Ilia is awesome in battle. Ilia also easily learns SFT skills as well, unlike that bloody Roddick who I can't even get to learn one!  *cough* Anyway, who's your favourite character? |

Probably Cyuss for me as well, his PA's and drinking habits are just hilarious. It's a shame you can't have both him and Ashlay in the same party (I don't think you can anyway) I reckon those two together would be a riot. Ashlay for me would come a close second, he also has some awesome PA's. Him arguing with Puffy over her stupid game was just great. |

I adore Cyuss, in both version, he kinda looks really cool and he has cool moves as well. His lines are funny too. My second choice would be Ronyx, I kinda like the PA's with Roddick... and Ronyx... lol! |

Argh...don't make me deciiiiiiide....! I don't think there's a character I dislike. I like them all equally, but I think I'll pick Erys because she's a pretty amazing mage in battle, and her PAs are some of the funniest in the game. xD |

Well, Cyuss, mostly because he is pretty useful in battle and he has a few funny scenes. But coming second would be Ioshua because he has good magic, even though he can die fairly quickly as soon as you obtain, but I still enjoy his character. |

Ah, I liked Erys the most. I don't care, but I liked her. But for some reason, I seem to choose Mavelle over her. Erys has that personality to turn things to ashes, which is pretty destructive for a girl like her, to say the least. Also, I relaized that in battle, she was the only character who doesn't pause between each word while casting Symbology. For example, she just says "Meteor Swarm!", and not "Meteor! Swarm!". |

I really need to play that game again and go for her. However, it's hard because Ashlay and Ioshua must be in the party and I have a guide to activate all the PAs. I heard she's the best mage character of them all. |

Oh, Erys has access to all the strongest Symbology, and she can also use Faerie Light. So in the end, she is better than Millie, because the damage Millie can dish out is nothing compared to Erys' Meteor Swarm and Extinction. Plus, she's already level 50 when you get her. But sadly, that wastes all her SP that go over the 999 mark. |

Yeah, but since you can reach Level 255, that is hardly a loss. Hey Fate, can Erys use Crush? Because that ability is really helpful, especially on fast-moving targets, and even Jie Revorse. |

I don't believe Erys can use Crush. Millie can, though. But Symbology is almost obsolete if you get Roddick's Redwyrm Thundersurge. Seriously, though, I took down Jie Revorse in five seconds with only two Redwyrm Thundersurges! That's how over powered the skill is. Once you get it, nothing in the game stands a chance against you anymore. I reduced Gabriella's 100,000 HP to nearly 10,000 with a single time! Actually, the game became boring after that. Hopefully, Ilia won't be that overpowered. |

Yeah, it is. Once it starts, enemies can't even get close enough to touch her. And it deals constant damage, so that's about fifteen hits of about three thousand damage a hit to everything around her in a large area. But it worked too slow for me against Gabriella, so I couldn't use her. I tried Seventh Star, but Mavelle died before I could. Hey, maybe I'll try a Mavelle solo next instead of an Ilia solo! |

I could never find the time to do solo challenges. You should record this and call it "The Grand Adventures of the Solo Run-Through of Star Ocean: First Departure by Fate." Or... something to that effect. Anyway, I'll wish you luck no matter who you choose, even Welch! |

I found a special way to get to level 80 by the time you get passed Mt. Metorx. Yeah, level 80. I actually found uses for those Flare Bombs! And I believe I got to level 255 sometime around getting to Silvalant. I trained by killing Gabriella over and over again. I wonder how I'll do that once I do my Mavelle solo? It'll work fine for Ilia, though.

Yeah, you mentioned that in "another forum" about using the Flare Bombs on enemies in the Metorx Mines. I found those quite hard, of course I was level 38 when I entered. |

I also like Ilia. She is tough and follows her duties, but she has a playful side, too. For example, in a lot of PAs where Ronyx is talking to another girl, she gets jealous and pulls him away. I found those ones to be especially funny. And didn't she get drunk once? Why is Santa up on the poll? |

How about when Ilia hears about Mevelle from Millie. As Millie describes her, Ilia gets more and more annoyed, and near then end, she storms out, and it's just awesome!
