Why it is her that keeps showing up is a mystery, but I like it, she adds that something else to the games. I reckon she is one of the best characters to use in the game as well, her Spinning Finger skill is absolutely awesome "Round and Round". It freezes up just about anyone, even some bosses and makes them immobile for a while. I'm even calling her Ms. Godhand now! |

I could definitely see a spin-off being made about Welch, which is possible since tri-Ace said that they might consider doing another game away from the main series. Also, there'd be no continuity issues given that Welch has been in every game so far and there's that speculation that she's from another world. |

Hmm, a spinoff featuring mainly Welch. I'd be interested in that, and like you said Quarky the makers did state that further games, or variants for that matter are still possible! If they did do a spinoff or something like that, I'm voting for it to be on DS or PSP thanks! |

It sucks that you can't teach her Nibelungaling until after you can return to Expel. In case anyone is wondering, you can teach it to her by going back to the area with the Sorcery Globe, the one where where you first encounter the Ten Wise Men. It's located behind the Sorcery Globe. Well, a treasure chest, anyway. Let Welch craft it, and use the finishing item on her to teach her Nibelungaling, an amazing move that s a rip-off of the Valkyries' Nibelung Valesti. |

Oh? I haven't done post game in the remake I must admit, so I never got that technique. But I'm curious about a move much alike Nibelung Valesti, that would make Welch even more useful in battle with something akin to that. |

Well, Welch's version of Nibelung Valesti isn't an exact replica of the real move. And she doesn't do the first part: there's no slashing three times, followed by the enemy getting impaled with spears. She just jumps up in the air and grows wings of light like the Valkyries. Then, she holds her handy stick in the same fashion as the Valkyries do. The handy stick then begins to glow, but instead of throwing it at an enemy diagonally, Welch thrusts in vertically down into the ground, causing an explosion that deals massive damage to all enemies in range. It's not so similar to Nibelung Valesti, but anybody who has played Valkyrie Profile will notice the resemblance. I laughed when I first saw the move. I mean, I know the move was going to be related to Nibelung Valesti, since the name was so similar, but I was so surprised when I saw Welch use it. I also find it surprising how it was Welch who was the one to use it. In my mind, she is the one who is least likely to be a Valkyrie. And when she uses it, she says, "Nibelung! Something or other!" Here, I found this video showing her Nibelungaling! skill. It's sometime near the end, by the way. The first part is just showing you how to get it in Second Evolution. Take a look at it! Here it is! I just got Welch. And she came from the sky... I'm already amused by her. |

I saw her PAs in the game. They were even more humorous, especially in Krosse where she made Ashton sing and dance with the dragons. |

And of course, her in-battle quotes are greatly amusing. |

"Goodbye, kids!" I wonder how old Welch really is. She acts like a complete kid, but at the same time, a complete adult (in terms of what she calls others). |

I still want to know who she IS, exactly. Do they ever tell you, in any of the games? |

Not that I know of. In The Last Hope, she used a hologram to talk to Edge. In First Departure, she was found alone in some secluded place. In Second Evolution, she fell from the sky. And in Till the End of Time, she was the one who helps with Item Creation. She's an inventor; that's all the game tells you. |

Yeah, but she doesn't seem to change a whole lot. What was the timeline from Second Evolution to Till the End of Time? 100 years? She didn't look any different! |

Maybe Welch traveled through time with one of her inventions. And when she made a mistake from First Departure to Second Evolution, she teleported out of the sky and landed on Claude. |

Why do I see Welch as a kind of... god? I don't know. She never ages, and she's random as hell... UNLESS... there's more than one... |
