Firm date still to be decided.

Speaking at a Star Ocean: The Last Hope press event taking place in London today, the game's producer Yoshinori Yamagishi revealed that European Xbox 360 owners still have a bit of a wait ahead before getting their hands on the highly anticipated RPG.

Yamagishi told the attending press that the game is expected to hit Europe in June, but no exact date has been set.

The game was only recently released in Japan and got off to a strong start, shifting 166,027 copies in its first week. The game looks set to become one of the best selling Xbox 360 titles in the territory.
:scream: :scream: :scream: :scream: :scream:

Edit: It's confirmed to be 5/6/09.

Hmm, I didn't actually realize this..I'm glad I'm not too bothered about this game yet now. My birthday is in June though so maybe it would make a nice birthday present, hehe.

I saw this just now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VovRLWR8MG4 ..I didn't realize the voice acting in this game was THAT bad in places ><
And why are the female characters in this game so dumb? That isn't the first part I've seen where a female character said really idiotic things..
Anyways there's a scan that just popped up saying SO4 is getting a PS3 port but it looks fake apparently. They need to port it and allow you to play in Japanese if you can't already.

Hmm, I found the scan here

Apparently someone posted it on a dutch gaming website, quoting it's a scan from Japanese magazine Dengeki. Time will tell whether its legit or not.

I hope it isn't fake, its so cruel how people do that sort of thing. Though it would be nice to have more X-Box games so I almost hope it stays X-Box only.

I wouldn't mind too much if it did go to PS3. But it would really piss me off it it had more content, like Eternal Sonata did. I want to play as Crescendo dammit! :scream:

They usually do have extras to make up for the wait I'm afraid :p
I've read the new tales game has extras when that hits the PS3 too. Another one I would have gotten for the X-Box if not for that.

Well some good news for us PALers, it's confirmed to be early June (just like the Australian release date I noticed a while ago actually).

It's the 5th of June 09. Also up is the European official site.

Woot, finally! :D

I'll probably get it straight away if I can find a good pre-order deal. There is no way I'm paying $109.95 though which bloody EB are charging...

EB is an evil empire run by puppy-killing cyborgs. :P

I'm probably not going to get this anytime soon, but it's about damn time we got it down here!

European site got it's 'proper' launch today, it can be viewed in 5 different European languages and has a few more things to it.

http://www.staroceangame.com/

It's getting closer for us, I've also noticed that EB even has the collectors edition set available in Australia (for an extra $20). I can't believe it, it's so rare those limited edition packs are available here!

Quote:

* Limited edition STAR OCEAN: THE LAST HOPE Box: Unique ‘digistack’ packaging with dual gatefold, inside a special collector’s sleeve.
* STAR OCEAN Soundtrack Compilation CD: The STAR OCEAN Sound Best Collection showcases key themes from across the series that are specially chosen by the game creators and series fans.
* Five STAR OCEAN: THE LAST HOPE Character Cards: Collectable prints of lead characters from the game, using rare artwork not officially released in Europe and other PAL countries.
* Brady Games Official Miniguide: 32 page game guide printed in full colour, with extra character artwork, descriptions and walkthrough information - to help you on your journey through the universe.
* Three STAR OCEAN: THE LAST HOPE Game Discs: Expansive galactic adventuring goes across three game discs, accompanied by full colour play manual.
Edit: F*ck Eb (which I often say). GAME has an online pre-order deal for the whole Collectors Edition set for the same price as the stand alone game as per EB, I'm going to pre-order! > http://www.game.com.au/search?search=star%20ocean
