For people who have completed the game or are at this point. I've just arrived on Nede...It hurts me deep to see Expel dissappear like that. Because there are still recruitable party members on the planet when it's destroyed. By not letting them join your party, you sign their deaths. It's probably the most sobering thing in Star Ocean to do. Plus, you then think about all the people that the character's met along the way, and their families. It makes me cry everytime I see it. I wish that Square could've put in a way to stop energy Nede from colliding with Expel. When I recruit character's now, I basically say to myself. Get as many people off Expel as you can. |

Easy wins have never been my style

It's certainly one of the harsher events that you'll find in an RPG. It really compounds it when you see a scene with Ronyx frustrated by been unable to prevent it, even with the technology at the time. Sad indeed. |

Yeah, me too. When Expel got destroyed and I left Leon, Bowman, Dias and everybody else there, I felt really frustrated. So much for saving the world. Well, at least Expel returned after beating the Wise Men. |

*licks* You taste so good... Hmmm... Oh...

Well, I guess, that's how it has to be... It's the same in other RPGs, it's sad to see characters go... But you can't really do anything about it, it's part of the gameplay. I remember when Aeris died... and when Lavitz died... And stuff like that, but we can't do anything about it. That's how the storyline goes. |

But you can return to Expel, though. Just talk to the old guy in the green at the back of the arena in Fun City. It's how you can get to the Maze of Tribulations. |

Never accept free toothpaste from a duck.

Yeah, but that's what's called VR Expel(Virtual Reality). Nothing there is really anything that any of the characters would be comfortable with. For the storyline, until you defeat the Ten Wise Men and use temporal shifting to return Expel... yeah, they all died, but at least it was instant. The very moment Expel collided with Energy Nede, it was gone as if it never existed. Still, that part's a bit sad when you think about it. |
