I'm basically die hard when it comes to Star Ocean. I've just got done beating Till the End of Time and I've been meaning to ask this for a few weeks now. But in Till the End of Time when you reach Arkives and you find out our universe known as the Eternal Sphere was all a creation.. this kind of in theory, affected the entire series right? I mean since the Sol system is featured in other titles and in Till the End of Time, which is the furthest into the future by far goes on to say Sphere designed the universe... does this really mean "Luther" is the father of Star Ocean? On a side note, I'm really hyped about the new Star Ocean and rumor about their new game. The whole 4d thing in Arkives actually got me inspired to start writing a sci fi novel. As you can see I really love the game, but yea the whole 4d thing done in Star Ocean 3 has definitely created questions. Share yer inputs. |

Well yeah, man it's been a while since I've discussed anything like this or played the game, I have to think here. Well, towards the end you learn that Luther and his cohorts created the 'Eternal Sphere', and of course he wanted to delete it as he feared their technology had advanced too far, particularly from the likes of Dr. Leingod & co. So I guess that means he is the god, or father of the Eternal Sphere. Although of course how much merit does that actually hold when his attempt to delete the Eternal Sphere fails I'm not exactly sure. This is the twist in the game that I believe also really pissed off some fans of the series as well. As for the next Star Ocean title, maybe we won't see anything about the 4D world though since it takes place before all the other Star Ocean titles. Till the End of Time I guess was able to open that can of worms by putting itself so far ahead into the future of the series. But of course another mystery is Welch, so who knows, maybe something about the 4D world will exist, unless she is more a case of reckless time travel, alike Viki form Suikoden. |
