I hated this game

What a dissapointment. Maybe I didn't give the game a huge chance, but I was utterly PO'd when I started to play. The battle system is terrible. And I had to talk to mice to advance through a dungeon. Huge dissapointment, I sold it to gamestop. =/

I think you've wrote it off too quickly. Yes, it starts slowly and my first impressions of the game were bad as well. I ended up putting it aside and playing Eternal Sonata instead. But alter on I got back to it, and it does get better. As for 'talking to a mice to proceed' that is only to access a hidden area in an early dungeon, it's nonessential to the game itself.

Some of the challenges the game offers are incredible and quite ground breaking for an action RPG. Such as busting into castles, working together with 3 groups in some areas and heaps more. It's quite refreshing to play actually.

It has plenty characters as well, the group combination options you have are great. While you have to use Capell all the time the character options you can surround him really do help, there are heaps of characters in the game, even some 'secondary' characters to make things a bit different. Almost Suikoden like.

A slow start yes, but it gets way better, it's worthy of been a tri-Ace game. It's taken an Action RPG to a new level, you just need to get used to it's different style first, and then I found it was great!

I think I'll actually buy and try this game out. I'm not hasty to make false assumptions about a game before playing them at least over halfway through. I've never dissed a game I hadn't played in full, because I always feel like the game could have a rough start, but eventually get interesting towards midway.

If that's the only complaints the game has gotten (which seem undeniably mediocre in importance), then the game is probably worth a shot. So I'll be buying this.

No sis, i will be buying this, since it is a tri-ace game i doubt it could be bad. They havent dissapointed me yet and i doubt they will, so yes i will definitely buy this game. This is the main reason i wanted a 360 in the first place, well and eternal sonata.

I thought you wanted it for SO4. I forgot about this game for minute, until I saw this thread the other day.

I can't wait to play!

Hey marsillo, oh yeah Eternal Sonata is really awesome as well, probably even better then this in fact.

But still, Infinite Undiscovery is still a good quality action RPG. Just give it a good 5 hours or so to get used to things, you'll enjoy it more if you give it a real chance. :)

I hated it too. I tried hard to like it but the characters were SO unlikable (especially Edward) and the gameplay was pretty meh too. I felt it started to pick up right at the end but that was just too late >:(
The story was alright. It was a bit different from yer usual which is nice but for me it wasn't strong enough to rid it of the games other sins since at times it was predictable.
Second time through its defiantly better but I still couldn't say it was enjoyable.

Most places I go I find this game gets a bit of a beating, sure it's hardly the best RPG I've played, but I've certainly played crappier ones as well.

I guess knowing that tri-Ace and Square Enix are capable of more is what hurts, more movie sequence scenes would have gone down nicely as well, I'm shocked at how few there are in it. It's disappointing that every character is a compulsory recruitment as well, that is not something I'm used to from tri-Ace either.

I still found it worth two playthroughs though, the battle system was interesting enough and I enjoyed it's seamless transition between adventure and fighting, a bit MMO like in a way. Capell's development caught my attention as well, I love how he has titles for the characters in the menu's, and in particular when he loses it for a while.

True it isn't the worst one (I don't think anything could beat Unlimited Saga as the worst one >:O).

Tell me about it,Unlimited Saga sucks so bad....why the heck do i still have it?

Anyway, give IU a chance.....and who told you,you had to talk to mice? It's optional. It's easy to go though that dungeon

I played it, I liked it. Not the best, not the worst. Only problem I have is that there are to many charecters to get use imo. I like a small 6-9 charecter party that I can watch grow, not a, what, 20?

But you don't have to use them all.You can separate them into teams,i almost always choose the same team:Capell[duh],Aya,Touma/Edward and Michiell.

I haven't gotten far enough to the point where I can judge it, but it seems good enough so far..anything Fayt likes, I usually like as well..

No offense, I don't think Ao1 is a fair judge of the game since he admitted he didn't get that far into it. You can't really give a fair view of a game unless you play the whole thing, I feel as though it gets better the more you play it.

Yeah, I try to hold back my judgment until observing/playing something enough that I have a good understanding of it..I'll listen to a song 4 or 5 times until I decide "Win" or "fail". Anything you say is good, I'll give a chance, because you don't just go screaming "NEW NARUTO OMG ITS GOOD", you actually explain why it's good.
