Ideas for SOAP's story go here. We've already decided: -You start in the real world -You end up in Sprout Tower somehow -Your rival is also your love interest, but he/she considers you a bitter rival in Pokemon battling later |

Spin, Gum-- HEY A JALAPENO
|
Bare bones story: -You are IMing your rival. The rival gives you a link to Sprout Tower, which you click. -Clicking on this link summons a small black hole, which sucks you up. -You wake up and find yourself in a small town, with a huge tower in the center. Your rival walks up to you, and asks you what's going on. A lab aide walks up to you and sends you to the tower. -A woman walks up to you. Her name is Seika, and she is the administrator of the Sprout Tower. She xplains to you that you are now in the Internet, and that an unknown plague has struck the land. She wants your help in saving the Internet. -You have three Pokeballs in front of you: you take one, the rival takes the starter with the type advantage. -to be edited later |

This idea is so crazy it just might work: The wormhole to the internet was caused by distortions in space-time, which comes from a long-winded story that also serves as the legendaries' backstory. Basically, the legendaries are personifications of communities, massive repositories of data that have become self-aware. As people demonstrate hostility and fear towards other websites and communities, so too did the legendary incarnations, which escalated into an all-out digital war that affected the entire internet, reforming it from simple data and code into someplace real, albeit two-dimensional and modeled after a video game (Pokemon). All the people whose contributions were part of these now-sentient beings got caught in the warp and became part of the new internet-region. Some of the weaker minds lost all memory of the real world upon transfer. Since you (the player) are pretty strong-minded, you remember some of who you were, but not everything. Your rival, on the other hand, forgot everything. The people who do remember long to return, so they've done research into the behavior patterns of the legends and concluded that if they were to be reduced back to mere data, the time-space fluctuations would stop and everyone would return to the real world. Or maybe not; maybe the dimension would just collapse and everyone would die, but it's worth a shot anyway, right? So they gather together strong-willed people and outfit them for journeying through the internet region and eventually taming these beasts so as to control the rapidly expanding space and send everyone back. Of course, other people are afraid of the dimension collapsing, hence a rival faction has gathered together to oppose your group; these mostly contain no-memory people who think the Internet is fine the way it is, and can't see the point in all this "real world" blather if they can't even remember it being real. So they've put a guard up in each portion of the internet, for eight total. You know what this means! Defeat them and make them see sense, then capture the legendaries and (hopefully) get back to the real world. ...Now. What happens along the way? |

Heh heh, cool. But the main idea was that if you didn't stop the virus from spreading, it'd grow powerful enough to enter the actual world. But I could imagine that you'd have your memories wiped upon going in... |

Woah, I like Twitch's idea. Make legendaries will be fun if we use that... I think a combo of Twitch's and Kam's idea could work - the virus could spread to people who flame other communities? |

So what would the Legends be based off of? A Legendary for a few major sites, or games, or what? EDIT: As i was typing this, I thought of a WoW based Legend. I want an Arthasmon now. Edited by The Cardiac, Apr 25 2009, 12:24 AM.

ARTHASMON LMAO I'd rather have Sargerasmon or Old Godmon though. XD But yeah, legendaries for major sites, rank of legendary depends on site importance, etc. Main legendary could be an Internetmon? |

Nah, Internetmon is just 9001 times easier to type out than Internet Legendary Pokemon. |
