For those of you that have played the demo already, what do you think? Here's the pros and cons I came up with after playing with it for a couple of hours:
Pros
- The control system is simple enough that it works very smoothly with the console.
- The overall setup of both campaign missions and skirmish (Since that's what you can only play in the demo) are very simple, but provide a lot of entertainment.
- The AI is very nicely worked, and at times can surprise you. I know that during a skirmish, I was building my base and out of nowhere comes a pack of hunters, that would have succeeded in destroying my base if it wasn't for the marines and turrets I had already made.
- It feels very much like Halo. From the menu, which is almost a copy of Halo 3's menu, to the animations, it feels almost like it was a normal Halo game.
- The cutscenes, while in CG, are very nicely implemented into the game, and should offer a lot more to the Halo story, as well as provides what Halo would look like as a CG Movie.
Cons
- The marines saying the same crap over and over again when you move them can get old and stale very quickly.
- No Multiplayer (What the fuck Microsoft?) in the Demo. D:
I'd list more cons, but I haven't played it enough to find any or the game just simply doesn't have that many. I'll update this post later once I've played it a bit more.
