my dain build and strategy guide

i will put my dain skill build and strategies to my build people may pick from it as necesary also this is not a pvp build also i prefer you to build your own style of fightin rather than fightin like everyone fight in a way you feel comfortable its more important you make your style and develop it remember to attack with a button dont focus on only skills mix it about a simple combo is aa(hold on second a for a second) aaa another lightning attack is aas and othe cmb is dash a s
a usefull tactic in stages is hit and run attack then run or skill then run dont stay in one place
dain has many aoe attacks run arund to gather enemies then use aoe or in areas they are forced to be gathered

i give warning using the it and run technique will make u very hated in pvp pple in pvp tend to be infinite combo based and they get angry quick if u run alot if u want pvp learn combos and i will also say run about a lot if you are gotten in an air combo it tends to be the end as many pple know infinite combo

this is folowing the curent patch in sept 2010


ice skills


i dont use this for my main dps its more strategy and tactical use

icicle rain usefull in myth as a push skill (1 skill point)

cold blue dragon i use as part of my skill combination its easy to get air combos (1 skill point)

ice pillar is used for enemies who are on the ground and u cant be bothered to press the space bar not used much

bitter cold breath by far the most usefull skill in ice it saves you from death many ocasions u recieve no damage when attacked and frezes some enemies decent range as well shame the freze time does not increase with lvl and damage as well not to my knowledge i could be wrong freze montinous when he falls im m4 and at tactical times if u freze enemies in the air then you get more damage when you hit them and it counts as air attack there are other areas it is usefull like at the last moment that could detemine life loss or other wise

ice barier has diverent uses dependin on your style i mainly use it in 3 ways a)as a barier to give me time to cast skill that take time eg red dragons and sumon meteor b) as a distraction some enemies have an obsesion with attacking the ice barier even if u are not near it this buys time gives me time to charge or do an aoe attack eg fury of earth c) ristricting enemies movement u can trap enemies if used well some parties may not like this skill i give warning

ice arow i hardly need this its used for 2 reasons a) its homin on enemies b) it holds them for a while note only yheir movement is held not their attack

fire skills
this gives some good dps and the burn stat is aslo quite helpfull some enemies have fire weaknes (tree in treasure island and its healing little babies)

fire bomb tricky to use cause of its aim but has its advantages a)decent damage, fire based, burn stat, knock down attack b) little mana use hence to cast hence u can use it at low mana c) quick recharge time means u can use it more frequently dont use it in myth only boses or enemies who dont fall down or u will not have many freinds in parties for myth (max it)

fire orb this has usefulnesss i use it in combination with fire dragon heart cause they are all homin on enemies and if u cast it close to enemies it knocks them down but if cmbined wth fire dragons heart can give a good distraction use in myth from a distance enemis wont get knocked down (1 skill point)

ocean of fire this is a handy skill it does aoe and is usefull in crowd control it flinches as well as damages and does not knoc down use full in parties in myth who dont want u falling the mobs and helps your dps (max it)

fire dragon heart is good for distracting can be combined with ice barier to give damage as well but i dont use it for damage but for flich enemies who get close get knocked down and receive more damage use in a place enemies come but u dont want to stay in long (1 skill point)

rain of fire this is a time waster move i use it when my skills need cool down and i want to give dps while it cools also it helps with air combos it flinches and if enemies are in the air it keeps a few of them up there dont really focus on it cause it leaves u open if u it does not hold them back thats why fire bomb or bitter cold breath can cancel if enemis are coming close use on m,obs not boss (1 skill point)

red fire dragon this is a decent damage wide area attack if u ca get the time to cast it it cleare a wide area good for the narrow road in myth and gets the flowers and mobs also enemies behind you use it after ice barier on physical enemis not ranged or wen u ahve time to cast or when yu are far off far of does not do much damage it does not push much but flinches and up close it falls mobs down use with care in myth due to its wide range do not use when facin boss that has stones there is a strong chance anyway you wont be able to use on myth bosses many have aoe attack that wont give you tme to cast usefull in stage and on nrmal boses not myth bosses (max it)

dragon death of breath formaly known as ddb this is a very usefull skill it does decent damage spams the damage and also protect you from certain attacks it is also good especially on boses and mobs that are cornered it pushes but is better used for dps when you cast it you can dash out of the animation the double dragons still remain to spam their damage use with care the colldown takes a bit of time (max it if i need to say it its a usefull lvl 60 skill)

tru rain fo fire i treat no diferent from normal rain but i prefer it cause it has bigger fireballs from the sky helps better air combo (1 skill point)

tru red fire dragon i treat like red fire dragon but i prefer cause it does more damage (max)


earth skills

this is mainly usd for dps the slow stat is not really usefull but it doe give masive dps

fury of eath good dps a primary skill that should be used whenever posible moderate cooldown not very food crwd controll but can be sused to deadly efectiveness use on groups of enemies closely packed together (max this)

rock sumons this is a push skill very usefull in myth but not much for dps use for crowd control (1 skill point)

hand of earth usefull in myth as push skill and more importantly in m4 to break black holes and ostrich generators its heavy knock down but i dont depend on it for dps (1 skill point)

giant fist of earth this is a semi puch skill its good on mobs that are already on the floor or after another skill falls them usefull in myth but carefull parties dont like the knockdowns not much for dps though (1 skill point)

towering pilar this is mainly a pvp skill but hard to use outside myth i dont use this that doe not make it useless its part of dains combo if you can combo good i dont use it (no skill point)

metor sumons a high dps skill long cooldown and long casting time if you get a chane it has various uses in stage and bosses and myth mobs and boses note it does fall down but gives time for air combo if you are good (max it)

tru fury of earth asuka hates tis skill in myth but if there is a good ryan it can lead to some massive dps for the party it does more damage than normal fury if the enemies dont falland can be used as a opening for red dragon while enemies are on the floor if ryan can time his freze when enemies are falling then party can do high dps moves and air combos but parties dont usually like this skill especially in myth good on boses though grat dps and decent cool down (max it) im not sure but for enemies who fall down if u hit them on the floor after they are hit with this they may take extra damage instad of waitin for them to get up tis is still a test strategy and hard to pull off

tru meator sumons good dps but use with caution slow cast time it does fall enemies like metor sumon but gives way for your own combos (max it)



bless skills

these skills are optionals but its clased as all or nothing

mana extension: the most practical but u must have 4 regentst to use at maximum potential may not be much 1.7k mana but useful when hp =0 and mna does not come back carefull about party members before casting seigs may not like it canceling his rage or survivability or ryans party hp do it when pary neds it some ryans may like it as they tend to lose mana quick and dacies to but not if there a a kali in party then this is slightly pointles skill

the elemental skills vary depending on who you ar fighting use them if u have spare points fire resist may be good in m3 not sure of others they do have ther usefulnes tey do calcel other bufs check with party but it uses regents


ability skills

dont bother with mana skills (mana recovery mana increase and concentration) dain has an s button to recharge mana if neded skill points better used on other skills its not a priority not even worht using free points on u do tend to charge mana more frequently but can be done tactically not to slow your group down

deadly magic blow gets 1 skill point may get free points but not a priority

health increase is not a priority but is an all or nothing not really necesary if you need the helth then go for it but i dont rank it very high but then every bit of hp helps depends on your shcool of thought

i dont use ice specialisation cause ice skills are not my main dps max earth and fire specialisation

remember this is guidlines u have to build your dain skills as you feel comfortable

dains bcb is usefull in yeti cave myth when the yeti king is about to start spamin bcb won the flower should stop him but timing is important flower should be frozen before he starts atttacking

ok andrew gets credit for this if it works but there is a glitch in forest of fire (m3) if bcb is done before wyldur does his rage attackand all party members dont get attcked by it but its agin about timing watch the counter i hvent tried it but it i will test it soon
