Hey, you can call me Emma, or if you wish just refer to my username. I'm a writer of many tastes, but it usually ends up as sorrow-filled poetry or alternatively, some lyrics. I'm a little shy, so it could take me a while to break in and post some of my work. But for now, I'll just give you a very thorough critique.

One more thing. I'm anathema to all benificial views of: High School Musical 1, 2 and 3, sexism, Cliff Richard and mocking of unavoidable disabilities. If you have such a view of any of those, we aren't going to get along.

See you around.
It reminds me, you know, of the time I was almost heterosexual.

Almost.

Favourite book? I'm afraid I don't have one, I have a list, and one more anathema beneficial view. :P

Favourites

1. The Sight/Fell
2. Hannibal Lector (series)
3. A Song of Ice and Fire (series)
4. How to Kill a Mockingbird
5. The Lies of Locke Lamora

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot It by Stephen King! I've yet to find a horror story that can surpass that.

ANTI

Twilight (series)

Damn right I hate Twilight, Meyer's achieved the level of writing that I would expect from someone who didn't even know the alphabet.

I didn't have to write the authors did I? That wasn't included in the question...

No you don't have to. :)

I've read the Sight books and his other one about the deer prophecies and stuff. He's a really good writer. Fell was a bit different though, don't you think? Has he ever written from a human's pespective before?

Anyway, I've not read Twilight but my friend had a copy in Science the other day and I just picked it up and read a paragraph. She got her tenses muddled up and her dialogue tags were the wrong way round. Also it was gaggingly cliche so I stopped reading and hid my chocking laugh. :P

Stephenie Meyer needs to get herself a purple prose alarm system or just a bad prose one. When the phrases "sculpted incandescent chest" and "lavender lids" are used in the same sentence, we have issues that need to be resolved. I only read Twilight because it is so utterly craptastic to the point it is hilarious.

Though Midnight Sun is so much better, because I seriously doubt Edward would describe his chest as "sculpted" or "incandescent." Bella's now the Mary Sue, but she was beyond hope to begin with.

When I went to see the movie, I was on the verge of flipping out because there were squealing Edward fan girls in front of me at the theater.

Anyway, enough rambling,
:welcome:
'People want to know why I do this, why I write such gross stuff.
I like to tell them I have the heart of a small boy...

...and I keep it in a jar on my desk.'
