Ahh. The long, hot summer days, free from school and the pesters of a busy life . . .Well, for most of us, anyway.

I know that lots of people get reading lists from school of books to read for the new year, or they make thir own list of books to get through during the summer. I currently have one of each, and I was wondering if you guys have anything to read this summer, by choice or from school?

I'll post someof my list when I find it. Currently it's somewhere amid the deep mess of my bedroom. :P

I haven't gotten my summer reading yet - it'll probably come in the mail with my report card. I forget how it works. But, I do have a sort-of summer reading list:

- Graveyard Book
- Harry Potter 6 (reread it before the movie comes out)
'People want to know why I do this, why I write such gross stuff.
I like to tell them I have the heart of a small boy...

...and I keep it in a jar on my desk.'

- Stephen King

I have a reading list that I made myself, and I want to re-read HP and Ink Trilogy.

I almost forgot that the movie is coming out soon! Thank you for reminding me! :P I've only re-read Harry Potter 1&2 so far this summer. I must hurry.

Some of the books on my reading list:

  • Coraline, by Neil Gaiman
  • A Wrinkle In Time, by Madeleine L'Engle
  • Gilda Joyce: The Dead Drop, by Jennifer Allison
  • The Mysterious Benedict Society, by Trenton Lee Stewart

I don't have a reading list for school.

The new HP film looks awesome. I htink I'll re-read it as well because there are things in the trailers that I don't remember at all from the book. :P

The only school book that's assured to be on my reading list is the Great Gatsby, but the rest are yet to be set in stone.

My own summer reading list is short at the moment.

The People of Sparks + the other City of Ember book when I find it - I forgot her name . . .
Season of Secrets - Sally Nicholls
Reread the Percy Jackson series - Rick Riordan
Fever Crumb - Phillip Reeve
The Red Necklace - Sally Gardener

I've seen the Benedict Society in bookshops, it has a very cool cover. Tell me if it's any good. :)

I've been reading the Benedict Society, and it's very good. It's a little complicated, but the plot is interesting and the characters are very unique.

I've read the Ember Trilogy. At least, it was supposed to be a trilogy, but then the author decided to write a fourth book.

I'm homeschooled, so I don't have a school reading list. I don't have any reading list, either. I actually read more during the school year than the summer. Also, this summer is the first one I'm actually going to be really busy, so I'm not sure how much reading I'd get done anyway. Not that I won't read, but I don't have any books planned out.

By your decisions you paint a portrait of Who You Are.

Hehe, I read the City of Ember thinking it was a standalone book. I think it was you who said it was a trilogy, I bought the second book, but the third and fourth books are really hard to find in the UK, so I might have to ship them which'll be expensive . . . :/
