Do you use libraries? If so, why and what do/don't you like about them?

If not, then why don't you, and what do you prefer instead?

I like both using libraries and buying books. Libraries are good when I have no money or to check out a book before I buy it. They are also free and though my local council libraries suck, my school library is brilliant. It had hundreds of books and will order anything in. :)

I LOVE libraries! The only books that I don't get from libraries are books that I want to use as reference or just have, like HP.

I always use libraries. I never know if I'm going to like a book or not, so I don't want to buy one unless I'm sure. The last book I bought was the third in a series, and I wanted to read it, but the library didn't have it yet, so I had to buy it.

I really like libraries, too. I like flipping through the books before checking them out. And our bookstore is rather small (it doesn't have a very good fantasy section that's not for 10-11 year olds).

I don't go to libraries that often, since I don't read that much (I'd rather listen to books on CD). But I do like them, especially because I like the silence. :D
