Bridge to Terebithia wouldn't work unless Leslie died. It'd just be an endless story about two kids and that would be it. It's metahorical, that they can imagine anything they want in Terebitithia, so why not Leslie as well? His little sister is given the title of princess, not queen, so Leslie is alive there, in thier imaginations. It's quite sweet really, but yeah it's sad and I see what they mean. It was also falsely advertised as a fantasy epic which didn't help.

Yeah, most of the kids in my class don't have very good taste in books. Example: My teacher is reading a book out loud to us that I've read before. It's called Chasing Vermeer, and I forget the author's name, but it's a really good book. However, kids say it's confusing just because there's a prologue, and then that part isn't really explained until the very end. Plus, it's a mystery, so everything kind of has to fall into place... Yet the kids in my class say that it's confusing and boring. *sigh* Hmmm. They should make more movies for A Series of Unfortunate Events. I would've liked to see the last one, The End. How about this: Have you ever seen a movie that you wish was a book? |

Some of the Dreamworks' animations would be really good as kids' books. Shrek would be an awesome book, though it'd have to have illustrations. ![]() Others, I'm not sure about. Most of my favourite films are books as well, and off my head I can't think of any. Exceptions though are those horrible film-tie-ins. I bought the Pirates of the Carribean book expecting brillian discriptions and awesome fights, but it was terrible and bland. All the best bits of the film were condensed like the author just wanted to skip them and go back to the rubbishy speech. The films are definitly better in those cases. What about you? |

Dreamworks is good. ![]() There's also those 'junior novels' for different movies like High School Musical, Open Season, and some others. I'll have to think of some. |
