I'm spanish but living in Sweden and as far as I'm concerned.....I think politics in Sweden are really disgusting. Especially the current party which leads the government in Sweden.......a right wing party. Before the current government.....Sweden could be considered a Socialdemocratic country but unfortunetly Here had arrived the new right wing tendencies present in whole Europe right now trying to eliminate the welfare state which took a lot of time to build in Europe. In the case of Spain. We have a so called Socialdemocratic party in the government but a very LIGHT socialism....so light that We cannot say there is a lefttist government in Spain. Generally speaking, the problem with our leftist parties is we don't have good leadership right now. Leadership capable to debate and demonstrate that socialism is the best way we have to solve most problems we have in Europe after the current Economic crisis. Unemployment, lack of oportunities to youngers, real salaries sinking and problems with inmigration cannot be solved with the current Capitalist system. |

I hate capitalisim period. It allows a few individuals to gain above everyone else. I don't see anyone as better or less than another I see everyone as equals, it's the way it should be in my opinion. The US will at some point in this century collapse because of too many mistakes. |

I agree comrade Velken but I think US won't fall alone, if we continue with the current Capitalist system, the Western World will colapse and I don't mean only economically. It's demonstrated the current capitalist system is unsustainable in terms of ecology and biology.....simply our planet cannot produce all goods required to sustain the current consumption model of our societies without creating poverty in another part of the world....there is not enough resources for all. We're beginning to pay the price of sustaining such system with masive inmigration, high portion of the world living in poor conditions and low salaries to our youngers....all in the name of progress. |

Capitolism is the system of kings, and corporate fat cats. My only problem with communism is that it seems that it seems to attract overly-violent leaders (Stalin wasn't exactly my idea of a good drinking buddy). You are definitly correct comrade Velken, America's reign is coming to an end. And so I ask my American comrades reading this: when it all goes to Hell, who wants to form a Red Army rebel faction with me? A nice little Bolshevik Revolution for ol' times sake? :sflag: |

The reason because It seems that Comunism attracts violent people is that some militants misunderstood the marxist theory called "Proletariate Dictatorship", mostly in 1960's. In the case of Stalin, there's not a single communist supporting Stalinism today. It's considered an aberration of marxist theories.....Stalinism is not Comunism....It's madness. It's an insane doctrine imposed by an insane man as Stalin was. A man who usually believe in conspirations everywhere. When we talk about Communism, we should think that Communism is alive. It evolutionate with the society. Communism doesn't have the same points of views than 30 years ago. Communism changed like Capitalism change. Both system evolutionate with the societies indeed |

I agree with you completely comrade, I was just stating that communism hasn't had a good reputation over it's history not just because of american propaganda, but also because of those who could not handle power and use it responsibly. Stalin was just an example of those who were seduced with power, trusted with leadership, and failing terribly. Absolute power corrupts absolutly. |

This planet dosen't have the resources as you said comrade , that is why it is so important for us to perfect our space travel methods that way we can get the resources we need from esle where and colonize on another world. Make contact with other advanced civilizations and see if we can open up some kind of dialog with them. I don't care what anyone says humans are not the only intelligent life in this galaxy or universe. |

I completely agree that the reliance on non-renewable resources for development has led to an unsustainable situation. However, I think that means that we must live within the carrying capacity of the Earth rather than seek extraterrestrial resources. While I agree with Velken that life on other planets exists, the distances involved would limit any interactions with life on other planets. Accepting the speed of light as the maximum possible speed it would take decades (at minimum) to send a message far enough to have a chance of reaching another inhabited planet. To get resources from another planet would again take a very long time, and it is hard to imagine a resource that could be valuable enough to justify the expense of going to get it. |

Just because humans don't possess the knowledge and technology to travel vast distances in a short length of time "dosen't mean that others can't or already havent". There are civilizations that are millions even billions of years head of us in evolution and development. No offesne but the attitude that "if humans can't do it nobody can" is absured. Why look for waht has already found us? Some of these advanced races have been visiting Earth for centuries maybe even longer. Thousands of people maybe millions reporting these UFOS and their occupants (Discriptions always being very similar) cannot be ignored forever. Sorry I know that this goes way off topic but this is a subject I am very passonate about, I feel it's a very serious one that is ignored. Ignoring it only dose our world more harm than good. |
