Davion's on this board? Hmm...interesting...

Why? Who are you?

Also, I can recommend Silent Mobius, again, older 90's series I enjoyed

Bakuretsu Hanta, another older one I enjoyed, but its more insane and mocking then a serious character drama.

Record of Lodoss war, the Original series, not Chronicles of Heroic Knight, would be another recommendation. High fantasy who's original story was based on the writers D&D games.

Lorick's rival, of course. That low-brow scumbag.

I thought one really good anime series was Tenchi Universe/Tenchi Muyo. Unfortunately, if you've already seen it, it's replay value is like, nil, and it does suffer from alot of cliche.

The problem with Robotech was that they spliced three different series for syndication's sake. And did a brutal Dub butchering that caused HUGE ASS plotholes big enough to drive a Mack Truck thru.

The ONLY thing that the anime's Macross "Robotech" Southern Cross "Robotech G-2" And the third one was the whole trichanging robot gimmick.

tl;dr, topic's too long for me to be assed to read it.

So, regardless if they've been said before; a list of what should be watched, barring Gundams

The Melancholy of Haruihi Suzumiya
Seitokan no Ichizon seems pretty good
I would assume the Valkyria Chronicles anime would be good

Death Note

I'll post more later >,,>

Dragon Ball, only up to the end of the third season, though.

Silent Mobius, as posted before, is a great series.

Trigun is among my all-time favorites, though the anime adaptation changes a lot of things, it is a great story in it's own right.

Hajime no Ippo is good, as was already reccomended.

Rurouni Kenshin is a decent story with good action.

A few series of Tenchi Muyo are decent.

There are many more, of course, but it's hard to remember all the good series i've seen.

No need for titles.
It's been a long time since I posted in here and a while since anyone else has so I guess it'd be a good time to make a post.

Well as usual when I get depressed, over the season, an issue in real life, or something stupid I did and mulling over it for days on end, I sat down to my lovely, too old to work properly, computer and picked out a new anime to binge watch.

Now for those of you who don't know, "bingeing" on anime is the term I use instead of marathon or a marathon session. It usually revolves around me sitting in my chair in a 'meh' mood and spending my entire time watching a new anime, either all day or over the course of a few days, depending on the length of the series and my school and work schedule.

Well for my latest session I sat down and watched NHK Ni Youkoso!

"Satou Tatsuhiro, a 22 year old young man, is a NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) and a hikikomori (meaning acute social withdrawal). He believes everything around him is a conspiracy, including the reason why many people, himself included, become hikikomori. Due to this, Satou creates a strange conspiracy theory which includes the Nihon Hikikomori Kyōkai (NHK), a secret organization with the intention of producing a hikikomori filled world. Satou intends to break free from the NHK's clutches, but cannot, since he finds it too frightening to go outdoors by himself; that is, until he meets Misaki Nakahara, who selects Satou for her "project" that she claims will cure him of his hikikomori ways."

I had heard for a while that NHK was a very good series however with the distraction of the recent anime seasons I really didn't have time to sit down and watch it. This current season however has been very light so I picked NHK out and decided to take it for a role.

For the most part I usually stick to action animes like Bleach or Gundam 00, however ever so often my curiosity drags me into the corner of ecchi, harem, comedy, and with any luck a drama anime.

Overall I was very pleased with NHK. While it gave a hint of the harem-genre with the two females the protagonist interacts with for the better (there is a third that totally just messes with him) however it stay true to its comedy/drama foundation well enough. The sounds and song quality was pretty decent and the opening theme that stays throughout the series kept reminding me of either another anime or game but I could never put my finger on what it was.

The animation quality is good though its stlye changes 2-3 times between the 'norm' of the series and a highly stylized version that many may remember from the Naruto-Sasuke fight half way through the Naruto series. Its a very good style for action/dramatic and while it fits where they put it in the series, it is a tiny bit annoying they make the switch.

Well, since I don't want to get into spoilers or anything, I highly recommend that you watch NHK. Don't binge watch it like I did, but find time to watch it none-the-less!!!

Watch NHK!

PS. Anyone who tl:dr this review/w/e it is, will be punished severely...
